Did not do a lot today. DS came by for a little this morning before a meeting he had to go to. Then DH cut more rainbow petrified wood for friends. We took it to them. Then ate at taco bell and went home for DH to cut more rocks. The neighbor lady stopped and talked to me. He said she thought I was sick as when she came home from work, I was already in bed. I told her what happened. Then we talked a little more. She is 79 and still working at Big Lots. Then fixed supper while DH went to work.
Ann-thanks on the info on Coumidin. I found the site. Sorry you cannot taste the same. My mom and my mother-in-law says things do not taste the same to them either.
Jan-we had wind today. It was neat to look at the pines sway in all directions in the wind.
Well have a nice evening Nina

DH liked the meat loaf. It also had mozz. cheese in it but I could not taste that. I thought it was a little sweet with the chili sauce and catsup. My taster if off though and not a lot of things taste the way they should. Neighbor lady and I were talking about that today. She says she doesn't taste things like she use to. She and her DH and DS went to a steak house for Easter and she had prime rib and said it didn't taste like it should. Chocolate still tastes good though.

It's a real mixed bag of weather today. Sunshine and blue skies and then the dark clouds roll in with rain and sometimes hail and then back to sunshine. Pretty blustery, too.
I had a meeting this morning and then home in time for lunch and off to help with the kids club. Three new children but then some have moved or dropped out. Still running about 30. Story of the loaves and fishes. The teacher asked if you could take two loaves of bread and feed thousands of people. One little boy piped up "If you cut them into tiny, tiny pieces". Only two more weeks and then we break until next year. The last couple of weeks of school the children go on field trips and such so we wind up before that. Next year some of the kids will move on to another school and we'll get new children.
Ann, The meatloaf using Rice Krispies sounds interesting. Let us know how it turns out.
I got two jobs done that I had on my to do list. Ironed 6 cotton blouses and cleaned the pictures in the basket. My afternoon job is to make a meat loaf for supper. This meatloaf is a recipe from Taste of Home Magazine. For the filler/thickener it has Rice Krispies which I have a box. It would be great for people that are gluten interolant. I'll let you know if it is any good.
Nina, do a search for Coumidin and go down the list of sites and there is one that says Coumidin and Vitamin K. There are three charts. Heavy with Vit K that is mostly the leafy green veg. Then one list is moderate and I can't remember what they called the third list. I had this printed out but must have tossed it with the diabetic stuff once DH was no longer watching it so closely. He goes very easy on salad. I don't fix much salad. Maybe cold slaw or broccoli slaw once in a while and those do have Vit. K.
Yes, it is nice to have a cleaning lady. She is a jewel. I always said once I reached a certain age I was going to have one again. Well I cheated and hired her 4 months before I reached that age. DH and I were doing pretty good keeping the dust and floors cleaned but she does deep cleaning. She'll even goes out side and does the windows. I always hated vacuuming the couch and chairs and that is what she does. She only comes every three weeks. She does at least 5 houses in our neighborhood all recommended from one neighbor. My house isn't that big but she's here at least 5 hours. I noticed the neighbor across the street had three ladies come to clean her house today. Probably they only stayed an hour.
It is really overcast today and on the cool side. DH escaped the house with a Dr. app't.
