Hi, Jan. did you watch the Sound of Music last night. We thought it was very good and do like Carrie Underwood. I don't watch many movies as being hard of hearing I miss a lot of the conversation especially in the singing. I guess that is why live plays don't interest me any more. I do have ----- something Ears and that helps bring the sound up.
I finally got the o k that my blood count was o k for chemo so we got out to the Dr. office about 10 a.m. Left about 1:30 so not bad. The drive home was very slow as there was a roll over car on the side of the freeway. Looked like just a one car accident. Probably someone cut them off and they lost control. Also probably going too fast or talking on their cell which is against the law here.
I think tonight I will stay up and read as long as possible. Since chemo night generally isn't a good night sleeping for me. I did nod off during the news before supper. On the way home we both were hungry so stopped and got a Mc Donalds hamburger and fries. That was a rare treat for me.

Good morning! I woke up to a blanket of snow outside. It's unusually dry for here and blowing off rooftops. Usually it's the good, moist snowman kind of snow. It's 25 and the snow is likely to stick around. Schools are closed. It's not that deep but this whole town is on a hill and it could get icier. It's definitely a stay at home day.Hardly any cars going over the hill today.
I didn't get the fruitcake made yesterday so today will be the day. You have to refrigerate it for 24 hours before cutting.
Do you have favorite Christmas movies? This week we've watched 3 versions of A Christmas Carol. Hard to say which one I like best because there are good things in each. The old Reginald Owen one, the 1950s version and the George C. Scott version. I also like the Maureen O'Hara version of Miracle on 34th Street and A Christmas Story.
Time to pop out of my chair and get something done.
