Moved most of the day after signing the lease contract. Was packing after 4 pm till 8pm while DH went to do his cleaning job. We are both so tired. We moved mostly boxes and 2 pieces of furniture. DS will help us again tomorrow and we have not even done the garage yet. We will be at it again tomorrow.
Patty - that pie sounded really yummy!
Ann - your supper last night sounded like a nice surprise.
Judy - we will miss you and look forward to you being back on soon.
I am using someone else's computer. Mine died. It was a tragic death. My son had come over to clean my computer and it was running very nicely until after he left. Then it wiped itself so clean all I can do is turn the machine on.
Patty, I wish you had seen the NBC nightly news tonight. (maybe you did) They were teaching 2nd graders to knit. I didn't get all the healthy things knitting teaches as I was in the kitchen getting supper on the table but it does keep the right and left side of your brain healthy.
I think we are home for the rest of the day but I want to go to Wal Mart after the lunch crowd has left.
We left at 8 a.m. for DH CT scan. Sure glad we were driving east as the west traffic was a zoo. Of course we couldn't find our way around very good at this hospital and of course DH didn't check in with the first reception desk. I counted 10 buildings out there plus all the parking garages. We did get a shuttle ride to where we had to go. We actually had a couple of sprinkles on the way. Would you believe DH didn't have to drink their chaulk. I told him he was so lucky.
Out of the hospital to a parking lot where we could use the cell phone to see if I needed to go to the dr. office for a shot. Yes. so we head north. Get there and the chemo nurse asked me what I was doing there as I did not need a shot.
We get home and DD is watching TV. Because of the rain they didn't need so many employees so she took the rest of the day off. She was waiting here for time to go to the movies. Said she still had the gift card I had given her for Christmas.
Last night for supper I had taken a contain out of the freezer that said. Chicken breast with cr. of celery soup. Well that was no chicken. It was a swiss steak. Very good though. Now I need to find the recipe to make again. I'm sure it was fixed in the crock pot.
Since it is cooler today it will be a good time to bake some fish.
Good morning Girls, Whew it was warm in the house this morning. Hubby had gotten up during the night, and put wood in the stove. Then when I got up, I automatically put another log in there...listened to the weather report, supposed to be 70 today and for the next few days...whew I opened the window, to let a bit of warm air out, and came up stairs to visit with you girls...
lunch at senior center today then knitting group after lunch
and I did the unthinkable yesterday. I started another child's sweater...Everything I was working on was crochet, and I wanted to knit, craved to knit, so started a child's size 2 sweater. It is white with a pink decorative borders and pink bunnies all around the yoke... so far, the sleeves are done, and the bottom of the sweater only has 3 rows done...This is the pattern that I used when I knitted for that yarn shop. A darling sweater pattern, and we had many other items to put in the yoke besides bunnies, puppies, elephants, trains, boats, etc...it was a lot of fun, and I opted to not get money, but to get free yarn for my own projects... I think this is how my yarn stash got started...
Hubby has a chiropractor appt. today, and he said lunch didn't sound very good, so he will probably eat in town. I agree about the lunch, turkey chili, and if we didn't have knitting group today, I would probably stay home...
There have been only 3 of us, sometimes only 2 of us, but it looks like there will be 4, someone sat in with us last week, and she said she would bring knitting this week. We shall see...A friend and I have taught a good friend to knit, and I gave her a big big bag of cotton yarn, as she wanted to learn to knit dishcloths...now she is knitting a scarf...next we need to teach her to purl...
ok ladies. hubby wants steak and fried potatoes for supper...sounds good to me, with JoAnna's pie.
I made the fruit cocktail chiffon pie, only changed it up a bit,. I used lemon pudding mix instead of vanilla I used mandarin oranges, drained, instead of the fruit cocktail I added 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice and 2 TB. splenda
