#1DS is going home tomorrow. I wish he would stay until we find out what DH medical proceedure is going to be and when. He went to the Dr. on Mon. Dr. didn't have access to his computer records and didn't have the CT results from the radiology lab. Dr. was also 1 hour late for the 8 a.m. appt. DH drove to our medical offices here and got the records and took them back to this dr who is at a different building in east county. Same hospital but a different location.. He thinks the tumor is going to be hard to get at blah blah blah. So right now we know nothing.
#1DS had divorce papers drawn up and they finally got served this Tues. DIL was shocked and wanted DS to come home so they could talk about it. She has plane reservations to fly to Fl. on Sunday. I think she wants him home to take care of the cat and water the plants. She is a lovely person and I love her to death but sometimes I wonder. I reminded DS that the two of them have never spent time with us here together. DH said they did once. Yes, they flew in, borrowed our car and spent the week in Las Vegas. Drove back and flew home. GD has been here once when she was about 5. We picked her up in L A., took mom and dad to a cruise ship and GD spent the week with us doing the zoo, Sea World, Disneyland. Knotts Berry Farm etc etc.
I can't see him relocating here if they do divorce. Their DD lives in Fl. and I do know he would not like living there either. I really don't know where he would relocate to. One house in his developement took over 2 years to sell. Just closed escrow. Big beautiful homes out in the middle of no where. The person that bought the closed escrow house is retiring from Belize. The kids house has 8 rooms plus the kitchen and great room, a laundry room, 3 car garage, cold storage and another storage room down stairs and a wood shop plus the storage room for garden tools etc. It is considered a two bedroom house beause two of the bedrooms are on the lower level. It is build into a hill. I'm glad I don't have to clean it.

Good afternoon, It has turned out to be a beautiful day here. 66 degrees outside. I spent the morning/afternoon with my friend visiting from Utah. They are leaving on Monday - I hope they move back to this area when their apartment lease is up there next spring.
Ann, I hope all works out well for your son. Do you suppose he would relocate to where you are? Who knows - maybe they will work things out.
Glenna, Veggie soup sounds good.

Do you have any idea yet when you dh will have his surgery? The waiting isn't fun.
It is cool here at night time, too. Much better sleeping than this summer when it was so hot. Today was pretty warm. And we are supposed to begin getting rain tomorrow. I think it is supposed to rain thru Saturday.
I made some veggie soup today. I have been wanting some for awhile now. So today was the day!
Our garden is about done. We have to dig potatoes yet. Also gather field corn when it matures a little more. We use it for corn meal and hominy. It is the large white kernel corn.
It gets lonely here. We took lunch over to DS who's working at his brothers house. He let us know he is leaving for home tomorrow. I think that is about a week early. I was hoping he'd stay until we found out more about DH upcoming surgery. DIL was served with divorce papers on Tues. She was shocked and wanted DS to come home so they could talk. If the unhappiness has been going on as long as DS says I don't see how anything will change. Not my problem.
Really nice weather. It cools down at night and almost foggy in the morning until the sun gets through the clouds.
