Judy, I can't remember exactly what ARC is either but is it rehabilitation for people with mental disablities I believe. Do you have a VA hospital or just a hospital that would like the books. I'm sure you also have thrift stores for some charlity.
This morning we gathered up pots and pans and went over to DS to fix them breakfast. DH's speciality and one of the rare things he cooks. Scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy. DD make her own s. eggs because I put butter in the pan (yes I Pam'd it too). We haven't see a lot of #1DS as he has been busy working at DS house on his computer. He has a lighting company that the guy lives in Miami, (DS has never met) and the company is in NYC. They sell the lighting fixtures for big construction projects. DS says the mother is a professor at Cornell and the dad a retired doctor specializing in senior care. DS figures the costs of the projects. He says he also spends a lot of time on the phone with them too as the young man isn't that sharp in running a business. His dad was very helpful to DS and DIL when dealing with her father in Mi.. Nice to have a work at home job when you are retired.
I thought I had a whole week off of medical stuff but my primary dr. has ordered some lab work. DH has a CT scan Friday afternoon. His stomach continually feels bloated. I hope that isn't too serious. It's not fun getting older.
Thank you for the recipe for laundry soap. I will accumulate the ingredients and make some up for my daughter and myself. I do my laundry at her house so I think it is right for me to provide the soap.
I am now sleeping later in the morning and waking feeling the need for more sleep. I am really feeling the absence of my sleep machine. I hope the doctor faxes a prescription very soon. I don't think I can do this much longer without some serious problems.
My grandson and a friend came over yesterday morning and took four boxes of books over to a garage sale. None of them sold, but I anticipated that. I know of another sale coming up and I will take the books to that sale. If they don't sell I will donate them to ARC. I don't know what the letters stand for, but it is a charity I feel good about. I do not donate to Goodwill because they treat their workers abominably.
I need to go fix something to eat. I think today since I got up very late, oatmeal is in order. That is the easiest thing to fix right now.
