Kids it on time but at 12pm. But we made it to the orientation at school.
Ann, I hope all goes well with your MRI today. I'm thinking of you.
Nina, Sure hope the kids get there in time or that if they don't, the courts puts some teeth behind their decisions. Thinking of you, too.
Glenna, Nothing like company coming to get in cleaning mode. I used to bake zucchini filled with parmesan and bread crumbs, drizzled with a little olive oil - love that combination.
Judy, Sounds like this move has been so positive for you. I tend to get on here later in the day sometimes.

Good evening everyone,
I wonder why it is that I put off posting until evening lately? I used to be on the computer actually trying to beat Patty to the draw. I am so busy now I seem to be running all the time. I take Gidget out for walks at least three times a day and she is actually getting the hang of this going outside to do her business. The piddle pads aren't getting used nearly as often. I very much appreciate that we can go out safely. Up on the mountain the cars, in a 35mph zone went 65+ mph. I sat with a forest ranger one day and he clocked every car that passed by there wasn't one that went less than 65. Here there are sidewalks and people actually stop when I try to cross the street.
I am so enjoying living in the proximity of the stores again. It is so wonderful to be able to go pick up one or two things and not have to drive a hundred miles. I loved living in the country until things got so difficult between Mary and me. Then it was time for me to go. I was shocked when I was up there last week. Carol's lips were dark blue. I believe that indicates that she is not getting enough oxygen. I am so worried about her, but she has made her choice and there is nothing I can or should do to change her mind.
I enjoyed a cool damp day today. It never rained, but a couple of times when we were out there was a very slight mist I could feel on my skin. There are no signs of fall here, except there is a lot of activity by the high school that is a block from where I live now. I was on my way in this morning when I heard the band as they were practicing marching and playing at the same time. That must be difficult to learn.
I am going to retire now. I hope you all are having a great night.
Been so busy. Grand children were suppose to be here by late afternoon and it is almost 7pm and they are not here yet. You absolutely cannot trust a thing my sons Ex says. They have to be up and at orientation at 9 am. They drove part of the day and is most likely making the kids help her move in when her dad and brother came. So they will not get much rest before tomorrow.
Other than that. I put clean sheets on kids beds, made granola, hot cocoa mix, went to storage with hubby, cleaned the family room for the kids. I am tired :)
Patty - We are on Mountain time-but Arizona never changes time in the fall or summer. It stays the same. I always have to remember when others change.
Jan - I was thinking it felt like fall here too. Hope not got 2 months that are usually warm.
Ann - I follow that Gypsy Guy too. Yes he was up here this summer to visit family his post said.
Glenna - I always like when company is coming as I clean things I often forget to do on a regular basis and it feels good to have a clean house like you say. Have fun canning those apples. Are's are not ready yet.
Patty, I think you and I are in the same time zone. I have often thought about that, too. Like it is 7 pm here and some of you haven't had supper. I am getting run down from the day by then!!!
Jan, It is starting to look fallish here already. The trees are getting that dark, dark green that they get just before starting to turn. And the sky, when it isn't raining, is that brilliant fall blue. We had rain off and on all day today. Sometimes it poured, but it didn't last too long.
Dh's son from Ohio dropped in for a brief visit. His "wife" and her three grandkids came along. The kids were very well behaved. I was very impressed with them. They had been to Florida to visit her people and stopped in WV on their way back home.
So I spent a good part of the day cleaning house for their visit. Funny I cleaned for hours and they visited probably less than an hour!! LOL Oh well, at least the house looks better.
I had picked apples at moms to can today. But after I found out they were dropping by I didn't do the apples. So I guess they will get bumped up to tomorrow's list.
I made the Zucchini Parmesean last evening and we both loved it. I took some to mom and she liked it too. The recipe is in the veg tab. Sarah had posted it last year, I think. It is from the HE European cookbooklet.
Hope everyone is ok. Ann I hope the MRI goes ok. Love and prayers to you.
Good Afternoon. I did sleep good last night but not the most ambitious today. Thinking about the MRI in the morning. I have to be there at 7 a.m. to drink the stuff that lights up my inners. At least I didn't take the late afternoon app't and it will be over with early. I've been reading a travel newsletter put out by RVers that travel full time. He has written a few mystery books in the last couple of years but I have not read them. The writing was their way of making money while traveling. He use to own a newspaper in Show Low, Az. up where Nina lives.
DH went to sweep up kitty litter that he put down where the motor home diesel had spilled over from the heat. I guess he filled the tank too full.
Jan, surely you will get some more warm weather. Seems way to early for the leaves to be changing.
Patty, it won't be too long before apples will be ready to pick up there.
My taster may be off but the blueberries I got that came from British Columbia don't have a lot of flavor to them. They are very large too. Peaches are good right now. I do have to put them in a paper bag for a day or two to ripen. They are not very cheap.
Ann in San Diego
It rained here a little either last night or this morning. It looks like fall. I noticed yesterday the JapaneseMaple is just starting to change some color. It's fun to watch that change bit by bit both in the fall and the spring. That tree takes forever to drop all of it's leaves- it's way after Thanksgiving when it's all wet and cold. I hope this isn't the end of our summer- I'm hoping we will actually get a few tomatoes this year.
No particular plan today except taking care of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Patty, I hadn't thought about Ann, Judy and I being PDT zone. So often groups I'm on many are on the east coast and I wonder if anyone ever reads what I write. They are having lunch when I haven't had breakfast.
Hope everyone's day is going well.

Good morning Girls,
I was thinking about your girls last night in bed. I was thinking that I was in bed, awaiting sleep and most of you were just having your supper. Here it is 9AM, and you girls are still sleeping, not even thinking about your day yet. I think Glenna is the only other one is the same time zone, though not even sure on that...lol
funny what one thinks about.
lunch at senior center
then pick up cousin
you know the drill
How was yesterday?
did you move?
only 1/2 mile
did you drink your water?
did you stick to your lifestyle food plan?
Let's make today a healthy day.
