Ann, I'm not needing to sign in on Spark each day. Not sure why that is happening to you. Glad you got your shopping done. Now my DH is exactly the opposite when shopping. I pick something up I will use and he starts griping about the price. He hasn't shopped himself for many decades so don't know what he expects. Sometimes I just get frustrated and put it back and buy it when he isn't with me. I remember my Dad shopping at a little market occasionally (drink stuff probably)- we'd get one six pack of Nehi (think it was)-orange crush, strawberry, cream soda, etc. and two pieces of pepperoni. He also loved to snack on mixed nuts (skinny as a rail of course).
Patty, I sure hope it cools to a comfortable temperature for you. I think Glenna is in the hot zone, too.
I've been on a major decluttering project and I'll do more of that today. It's very cloudy this morning but only 10% chance of rain. Good day to get things done inside.
Am I the only one having to sign in every time I enter Spart Team? This has been going on the past week. Yes, I check the remember me box.
We got the grocery shopping done today. The commissary wasn't crowded at all. DH went with me and I showed him the one aisle that is poorly lite that freaks my eyes out. He got what I was talking about. He did a good job of keeping up with me but the bill sure was higher.
When you serve broccoli slaw what kind of dressing to your use? I was reading a thread about that on WW and there was a variety of dressings. One was Ranch that I would not have thought about but am going to try tonight with BBQ beef sandwiches. Generally I use mayo mixed with a little vinegar and Splenda.
Last night DH and I were watching the local news and they were talking about someone giving a seminar for the young married military men and their wives. Giving them information on how to budget, and not get suckered into businsses that advertise low cost interest rates for the military and sales people with high pressure sales. I started to laugh and asked DH if he remember the time we were invited out to a couples house for dinner and it was a demonistration for waterless cook ware. DH says and yeah you could stack the pots on top of each other and only use one burner to cook a meal. I still have one pan that is bigger than a 9 x 13 pan. I think we paid $7.00 a month for three years for those pans.
Opening day at the Del Mar race track.. Oh the ladies hats that they showed on the news were gorgeous. I think opening day is more about the hats than the horses. No we're not racing fans.
