Ann, I was never on diabetes meds. Just lost weight, and it took it away.
I freeze them with the pits.
Wow it took three times to log in before I was accepted. What is up with that?
Patty, Congrats on the great Dr. visit and no more diabetes meds. This is your call from above that you are going in the right direction. What are you going to do with all the cherries. Do you freeze them pitted or not pitted. Fruit is sure plentiful in the markets right now.
Nina, what a couple of days you have had. So glad your DH got an easy surgery and hope he is feeling just fine. If he had had to stay in the hospital in Flagstaff you had the RV loaded and could have stayed in it over there. I'm assuming you can drive it.
Today grocery shopping was on the agenda. I got through the produce aisle and into the canned fruits and veg. and my eyes were driving me crazy. The lights in the stores do that often. It really made me feel uncomfortable, so I left and came home. Crazy I know but the store was closed yesterday and was busier than usual even though I got there right when they opened. Mom with kids and disabled go in at 9. the rest of us at 10. We won't go hungry. In another day or two it might not be so bad and I will try again.

Just got home. We left just before 10:30 to go to dr.Then went to town and had lunch, then stopped at brothers orchard and picked sweet cherries. then stopped at store, now home. Hubby says we probably got over $60 in sweet cherries...Isn't brother nice
appt. went great, I do not have diabetes anymore, so don't need to see dr. until next year.
Will do blood work tomorrow morning. Everything should be fine...
bp was 119/72 so thankful that I can stay off bp meds still...
Nina, so thankful that you and hubby found out before you were out and about on the road...

Can you travel while he is healing?
Jan, I sure am enjoying reading the HELP book. Am about half way done with it...I get new ideas and thoughts each time...and each time it reinforces my resolve to just do it, and forget about it. Not to sweat the small stuff, to just get on with life...
