After I wrote yesterday that DH was going to GS ball game he left. A while later he called to tell me when he got to the college parking lot it was empty. He called DS only to find out the game had been canceled. He started to drive home and the car battery was dead. So who gets to come and give him a jump. NOT DS -- But ME I followed him on the way home and he stopped off at the car dealership and left the car. I was glad the traffic was light.

Today I went to have lab work and DH walked over to the dealership and brought the car home with a new battery. No cost to us.

I think I am going to have fish for supper. I've got some fresh vegetables to use up and a package of broccoli slaw that needs to be eaten too. We have strawberry dessert for tonight and then it's gone. I've been trying to find some more recipes to use the meringue powder. I remember I have a pie recipe that has a meringue crust with chopped pecans in it. The filling is a whipped cream with melted chocolate in it. That would be easy with Cool Whip.

Hi Jan and the rest,

We had a lazy, laid back day yesterday. It was nice to just rest! A rare treat on the farm.
Not sure what is for supper. Still have some grilled meat. Need to go to the garden and see about some lettuce. It is so hot, not so sure I'll do it now. We have been having very hot and humid weather here.

Hubby's gospel group has a sing tonight. So we will be going to that. Hope they have air conditioning!!! lol

Everyone have a good day,

Hello everyone,

We've got a lot going on in the lives of our group and I'm curious to see what's going on today. Did you survive the fireworks? We decided not to go out to watch them and when we looked outside from our yard it looked like trees would block them but sure enough at 10 PM we could see many of them sort of through the trees.

We had a lot of good food and now it's back to business as usual to being healthy.

Our son is leaving this afternoon so we hope to get a walk in before then.

What's for dinner at your house? I'm not sure about mine yet. Lots of leftover salads.
