Jan, great job on the weight loss. You're doing great. I know you and your DH are proud of your DS job promotion. I have no idea if our dish washer is quiet or not as I always run it about twice a week when I go to bed.
DD just called to see if the house had cooled down. I told her it has because I opened the windows and doors to let the breeze in. The fellow that put them in is stopping by tomorrow to see what we aren't doing. I told DD we probably aren't pushing enough buttons. If that doesn't work the GE guy is coming Tuesday.

Today was TOPS day and I lost 1-1/4 lb. This was the final day of a contest and the team I was on won. We won the honor of winning
Had lunch and a good visit with friends.
Our youngest son called this afternoon to tell us his supervisor and her boss asked him to be 2nd lead today. I am really glad for him. He's a conscientious worker. His old roommate is moving out and going to Minnesota I think where his family is. A new roommate will be moving in - but a friend he's known for years.
Did anyone else buy the Spark Solution book? I got it around the time my FODMAP diet started so I didn't get into it until that ended. I'm really enjoying the pointers and recipes. I can get in the same old groove of food.
Ann, What happened to the days you just turned on an "on" button to make something run?! Glad the new airconditioners are quiet. I still marvel at how quiet our new dishwasher is. My house has an open floor plan so kitchen is right off the livingroom and you can hardly tell the dishwasher is on even when you are standing beside it.

Not much going on here. It is warming up and DH and I are trying to read the instructions to get the air conditioners to work. I got the living room working but we can't get the bedroom one to come on. Actually the computer room next to the bed room is cooler than the bedroom is. It is the N W corner of the house. It will take a while for the living room to cool down. it is quiet though. DH was afraid they would be noisey and disturb the neighbor. For years I had to listen to their pool motor so I could have cared less. They finally moved the pool motor.
I'm going to have hamburgers for supper. I was thinking of a bean salad but did buy cold slaw mix yesterday so guess I best us that up.
I've got another book started. The TV hasn't been very good so it was a book. I have liked watching the baking competition that is on tonight. It's getting down to the last few contestants. Some of the items they had to bake I have never made. Like croissants. Our fair today had the pie baking winners recipes in the paper. It was a Pillsbury contest. The pie looked like a lot of work to me. Mango coconut something.
You mentioned that you are putting meals in the recipe box. Are you planning a menu and putting the recipes together with that menu? That sounds very interesting to me. Please tell me how it works.
I just made an all day omelet. When I figured the calories it was under five hundred, but then I went down to the chart that shows the proportions of fat, carbs and protein and it was really skewed toward fat. Now I have to get that back in proportion. Dinner tonight will be a veggie salad with just a little protein.
I think I have some fish in the freezer so I can do that small protein dinner. I find that chart at the bottom of the Printable Nutrition Report to be extremely valuable. It tells me instantly where I am getting out of balance. If I look at the chart in the morning after breakfast I can keep myself closer to my goal of staying balanced. It doesn't always work, but it comes very close.
