Ann, I turned in a new application about a month ago. I haven't heard anything except that I got my application back. They wanted more information. I am actually hoping that I don't have to move before my garden matures. I will have to dump the soil out of my pots to move them. I don't want to leave them behind.
I planted chives and cilantro today. I also put in some nasturtiums. I like to have them because the whole plant is edible. Kids like to eat flowers. I planted some seeds in eggshells That is an experiment. If it works I'll do it with children someday.
I have to get some more paraffin so I can make some fire starters for camping. I also need to set up some small camping stoves. There will be children there and the small stoves are for them.
I got a delivery today and I think it is at least one of my cast iron pots for camping. I ordered two and this box doesn't seem heavy enough for the big one.
I am getting concerned about my camping trip this summer. I still don't have any dates and I don't know when my daughter's camping trailer will be available. I hate having to coordinate when there is nothing specific. I am getting ready though. I am so wanting to get out in the country. (As if I didn't live in the country) I mean I like to spend all day outdoors in a new setting. I am looking forward to doing some experimenting with new recipes I am collecting.
I took Gidget across to the campground this afternoon. There is no one there except the attendant. There was a nice breeze blowing Gidget's ears and we just enjoyed our solitude. When they got the park ready for visitors this year they didn't clean out all the fallen wood. There is still some stuff over there for the children to find.
I am ready to settle in for the night. I finished up the dishes and plugged in my chair. I closed the car windows while I was outside and the front door as I came in. So there is nothing more for me to do downstairs.
I'll have to close the door to my balcony before I go to sleep, but that is the only must left for today. I think I've done pretty well considering I started out with only four hours of sleep.
See you tomorrow.
Good late afternoon. It was a fun day and I came home $4.00 richer as the high scorer. The first table of four hands I got the most fantastic cards but when I moved to the next table it went down hill from there. The hostest served a chicken salad from Costco and desert was a gr. cracker crust, layer of like cheesecake but it really wasn't, topped with circles of strawberries, peaches, kiwi, and blueberries with a glaze on top. Not lo cal but delicious.
Nina, I am so happy for your son. Now that school is just about out will it be late August or September before the kids come to live with him? Do you worry she will up and move again, not to be found? He best keep in touch with them very regularly.
Jan, what a shame so many in your area have lost their job with the sea food plant fire. I hope no one was hurt.
Louise, I got more information today about the seniors playing bridge at one of the local community centers. People start arriving at 8 a.m. I'm not an early get up and goer but I can do it. It would be good for DH to get to play too.
Patty, I hope you can eliminater the wood fires pretty soon. Sounds like a short summer for you.
Judy, have you checked lately to see if you have moved up on the apartment list?
Supper is going to be light as DH also ate lunch out.

Which seafood plant? Bumble Bee? I hope no one was hurt. I am always aware of the hazards of fighting fires. Being a fire fighter was one of the high points of my life. I really loved it. Strange though, the night we had our biggest fire I was in the hospital having a baby. Two of my sons helped to fight that fire.
I didn't get to sleep until after seven this morning. I am worrying because I can't find one piece of mail from yesterday. I will go out to the car and see if I left it there. Otherwise I am in a bit of trouble.
No TOPS today after all, and next week I have a doctor's appointment. I'll get weighed at the doctor's office, but that scale is different than the one at TOPS so I won't be able to tell quite as well where I stand.
This week I have ordered a produce share from the co-op. I will have vegetables again. It has been difficult this past two weeks because I have not had any fresh produce. I am going to pay for three deliveries when I pick up my produce this Saturday. That way I will have plenty to last me until I next get my food stamps. I have my priorities don't I.
I wish I could get more seeds to grow. I think the frosts are all gone now so perhaps if I plant I'll be able to reap a harvest. I am going to continue to try. My garlic is coming up strong and tall. I will put some more in the pot and see if it will grow as well. I need to pick up more seeds and pray that the raccoons let them grow.
I'll see you all later. I need to get myself back on schedule.
It's foggy and 55 degrees this morning. Will warm up but not as much as yesterday. I'm having my morning coffee and will soon get ready for TOPS.
There was a bad fire in a seafood plant near here yesterday. They had to keep close control because of some amonia tanks. It's destroyed and 130 people worked there - one of our biggest employers in this area.
Such good news for Nina's family!
Louise, It is not good when you can't sleep well. Enjoy your Bible study today.
Patty, about yesterday:
food plan - yes
water-yes and then some
exercise - yes

Good Morning Patty and all who will follow!
It is still to early to see if it is sunny or cloudy. Still dark out but will be getting light soon. I woke up at 3a.m. and could not go back to sleep! I hate those mornings. I get up early but 3a.m. is a little too early for me.
Nina, I am so happy for you and your son! This is such good news!
This morning is Bible Study at Church. It is our last class. I am not sure if they are going to offer another session or wait until August for the fall session to start. Seems funny saying August starts the fall session since August is usually our hottest month!
Stick To Food Plan--Yes!
Everyone, Please Have A Wonderful Wednesday!
Good morning Girls,
Nina, such good news. Oh, your son must be relieved. Praise God...
Another rainy day here today, supposed to be in the low 60's. I think we are having spring weather now. We may never get real summer weather, just go from spring to fall weather...we shall see.
I started 2 vests yesterday for size 1. One a girly vest colors, and the other one in boy colors...stripy both of them...
How was yesterday?
did you move?
yes, 1/2 mile
did you drink your water?
did you stick to your food plan?
. That pumpkin pie pic is one of Joanna's pies, of course...lol
Have a good day girls.
