Ann, I can't believe either the home association wouldn't allow the flags. Good grief! We don't have many displayed and we didn't put ours up because of the rain. Tomorrow is supposed to be worse. That's too bad the Icy Hot didn't work out.
Patty, Good future ahead for your grandson!
DH and I stopped in at an estate sale in one of the big, old houses here. There wasn't much left to buy but I was amazed to see the inside of that house. 3 stories plus a basement and almost every room had a great view of the neighborhood, downtown and the river. The kitchen was remodeled and as big as my livingroom, diningroom and kitchen put together. Wonderful space with cabinets all around, 2 sinks, an island with even more cabinets. I think the stove was there. The kitchen window over the sink had a magnificent view. You could have 12 people in there and not be crowded! On the third floor was an office with more panoramic views.
We also went to one cemetery - brother-in-laws grave did have a flag on it and we were glad for that because I forgot to bring the little one I bought in case they didn't. I had white lilacs and irises from my yard to put down.
Glenna, It's good to see you posting when you can. You have quite a garden and all the things you do is way beyond what I've ever done. Let's all keep Sarah in our prayers.
Judy, I'm glad you are enjoying your vacation.
Louise, I'm glad you're feeling better and finding foods and substitutions you can make so meals will work for you. Today I found some wonderfully flavored marshmallows at Sunday Market that I could eat. What a treat! The ones I got are Chai flavored.
Ann, So you get to be the hemmer! Ach! Sports TV.
