Jan, with your lucky streak, you better head for the casino. Great job on the weight loss. Wow a $20.00 plumbing bill. That is unheard off. Today the shop called with info on the motor home repair. The Manifold pressure something or other needs to be replaced. I took the call so was on one phone while DH came on the other. DH asked him the cost of the repair and I understood him to say, $5,800.00 something. Nothing surprises me when it comes to repairs on the motor home. After we hung up I went and told DH we should have kept the cans of beans I donated to the food bank. I repeated the $5,800.00 repair and he said no it was $580.00 something. That included an $85.00 part. Rest was labor. Bad enough but better than what I thought I heard.

I just got home from TOPS meeting, lunch with friends and grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions. Hooray the TOPS scales showed a 1.75 lb. loss from last week. Even more surprising was we had the end of our "dollar contest". For a 3 month period those who want to participate put in $1 and the one with the best net loss wins. I was flabbergasted that it was me! I won half and one of the KOPS (ones who reached their weight goal) wins the other half. Then we played bingo after the meeting and I won that two times. Was it my day or what?!
The rain is back today but not heavy rain.
Our plumber came last night to finish fixing the cold water knob for the shower. Guess what he charged us? $20. Amazing!
Patty, Ouch for the dental expenses. I have two crowns (should we all feel like royalty? lol) and was surprised the first time I needed one - I thought fillings lasted forever. What a disappointment that they don't.
Ann, One of my crowns was because of popcorn, too. I made meatloaf muffins with extra lean ground beef yesterday for Bruce and I hope they don't dry out too much since they were so lean. Usually they are great.
Sure sorry you need so much dental work Patty. I have lots of fillings and crowns in my mouth too. I have been lucky the last few years that all I've had were cleanings. The last crown came out two of three times and I even lost it once. Thankfully I didn't have to pay for the new one. Dentist said it never should have come out. I sure try not to eat foods that would cause any more problems. Like pop corn and sticky candy. etc.
I've gotten some laundry done this morning and all ironed that needed to be. It is nice and cooler than the week end was. DH is washing the windows on the outside. I had already done most of the inside ones and screens. I must remind him to hose down the security door screen.
I think I will just waste the rest of the day. Last night I took out some frozen meat loaf to thaw for supper tonight, Meat loaf dries out so bad when it is reheated, I had made an herbed tomato sauce and added that to the slices that I froze. Much better.
Afternoon Girls, Just got back from the dentist. I need 3 crowns. I have known this, but decided to not put any more money into fillings, but to go ahead and get the crowns, one at a time...I hate to spend all that money. My teeth are terrible...always have had fillings, and they just keep getting bigger and bigger.
