Judy, Sparkpeople has an article every so often about ways to see your weight loss success aside from the scale. So you have a victory!
Ann, I hope your son and family has a good vacation and I hope they get here sooner than the rain. Yes, hubby's and their bright ideas can be interesting. I hope the St. Joseph statue does the job. I'm wondering if new homeowners all over the country are planting flowers and finding statues.
Louise, I think your 90 degrees is vastly different from what it would be here. You sound comfortable with it. What devotion are you doing? Is it one you are writing? The FODMAP Diet is to avoid common food allergens - some of those things are all dairy, wheat, stone fruit and some things like beans, onions, garlic, artichokes. That wipes out all packaged foods. Golly, we used to eat that way all the time when I was growing up. Also of the veggies and fruit on the allowed list, I can only eat in the amount of the size of a small orange. It's different from gluten-free because the food allergies aren't based on gluten intolerance. However, there are similarities. After 6 weeks I slowly add in food groups one at a time and should be able to detect what the problem is.

Hi Everyone! I thought I posted the other day but I do not see it any where. Maybe it did not go through and I guess I did not notice that it did not. I might not post every day but I will be posting more often.
Jan, what new diet are you on?
Well, today I have been working on my devotions. It is in the 90's and partly cloudy.
Jan, PCP took me off of Metformin after I got a new refill. Darn pharmacy keeps calling to see if I want an ordered fill after I've told them three time to cancel it. Oncology Dr. was giving it to me to reduce fluid. I'm not sure why PCP wanted me to stop it, but it was after I had a lab work up for my annual check up. She also took me off calcium and cut my D3 to 1000 per day. I have read recently that as we get older we don't need as much of those too. Changes, changes changes.
I have ordered a St. Joseph statue to be buried at my mothers house. The realtor told me yesterday he had some and why didn't he think of that. Now he'll probably go burying St Joseph at all the houses he has for sale. LOL He said people back there just don't have the money to buy houses. I wonder how he is making a living.
DH went to see if something he thought of would get the motor home up and running. When he took it for a run last week he could not get up any speed. If his brain storm doesn't work he will take it to the repair shop. I don't have a lot of faith in his brain storming as he isn't the mechanic in the family. It does give him something to do.
Our oldest son, DIL and GD are flying to Costa Rica today for a 10 day vacation. I hope they have a good time inspite of this being the start of the rainey season there. I also hope DILs 93 year dad doesn't have any problems while they are gone. I know that is a worry for her.

It's foggy here this morning - I'm hoping when it burns off we'll see more sunshine. It has been good walking weather.
How is everyone doing with their food plans? My challenging one is getting more familiar and I'm making it work (FODMAP Diet). I'm curious when I'm able to add in the forbidden foods to see what it is that causes my allergic reactions and I sure hope it isn't dairy!
For those of us with Diabetes, how are your blood sugar readings going? I don't remember if I told you I'm back on Metformin 500 mg twice a day because we determined it wasn't the Metformin causing my problems. My readings have been really good but especially with the new diet.
We've got some errands this morning and then the guys are going out to the beach to get some sand to add to our garden/flower beds.
