Ann, In the absence of a heater for her c-pap machine, Tell her to pull the hose under the covers with her. That will heat the air to her body temperature and she will be considerably more comfortable. My machine has a heater and I never use it because the air it pulls in has some moisture and that moisture gets in the hose and makes a terrible racket as it cools. It is much easier for me to use my body heat to warm the air.
I hope you are all well today. I'll see you later.
I must be on a roll as yesterdays Dr. app't went quickly and only gone under 2 hours and that is even stopping to pick up a prescription. Dr. thinks my rash is from the hair folicles. She said if not better by Thur. to call and she will get me to a Derm. Dr.
Then today I had a 1 p.m. app't with oncology and actually saw the Dr. Didn't even have to sit in the exam room and wait. A first. I do think someone forgot to take my blood pressure and temperature. She suggested I also wash my head with theliquid Hibiclens soap I had to buy and shower with just before my surgery. Expensive stuff. Suppose to kill the bacteria. I hadn't thought of that. Even forgot I had it. I'm still continuing with my Benadryl at night and Alavert in the morning. Pills, pills an more pills.
I've puttered the rest of the day. Made a meat loaf for supper. DD stopped by after work and asked dad to type a letter she had penned out to her health plan. She has a CPAP machine but it doesn't have a heater and she doesn't like the cold air that blows up her nose. DH's has a heater. She has been fighting her insurance for a different brand. Dr.o ks it but still they send her the duplicate of what she has.
Her Home Depot where she works is having a Mexican lunch to raise money for their Christmas party. DD has to bring the shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, and cut up tomatoes. I think we solved two of them. We have a wholesale grocery up the street that is open to the public. They recently put in smaller sizes and their produce dept is lovely. I'm sure she can get big bags of lettuce all ready shredded and also the cheese. The tomatoes will be the only thing she'll have to cut up. She has no idea how many to fix and I did offer to help her. One lady is cooking the meat. Three choices, chicken, pork or beef. She like to cook and DD doesn't. I think there are more than 200 employees at that store.
Where is everybody, Jan we are worried about you, and you too Glenna and Sarah. Let us know how you are doing.
Are you okay Patty or has it started snowing in your place too? I took Gidget to the groomers this morning and it was snowing here. Wouldn't you know I left my lights on Saturday when I returned home from the party and today my car wouldn't start. Gloria got the jumper cables out of my trunk and got the car started for me and then I didn't turn it off until I'd driven 30 miles. I think it will start then next time I try.
I won't be going out again until next week Wednesday when I go to TOPS. At that time I will fill my gas tank and it will have to last until I get to Seattle and back. My medical appointments for the month of May are on the 23 and 24th so my gasoline is going to have to last a very long time. If I am lucky I will get ParaTransit to take me to Seattle for the Doctor's appointments and I won't have to worry about gasoline.
Nothing else going on here today. I got up very early so I am going to go take a nap. See you all tomorrow.
