I didn't think anyone else stayed up this late. I hope your son has stopped to rest. I find that cell phones are great for helping me to relax about my family traveling long distances. They can call me if they have to stop and rest. Then I don't worry. I guess I am a real worry-wart and the family doesn't like to give me that chance to get involved in that.
Doesn't it seem somewhat strange that the school systems won't test students when that testing is needed? I ran into so many problems when we were trying to make our case for keeping my grandchildren. I don't think it would have made any difference in our outcome since the judge started the trial saying we would have to introduce a preponderance of evidence to make him CHANGE his mind. Obviously his mind was already made up and there was nothing we could have done to change it.
I am still fervently praying that your grandchildren will go to the place that is best for them. I truly believe that is with your son. I do know that it is more difficult for a man to get custody in most states, especially those states that are more conservative.
See you later.
Ann & Everyone else
The kids did not get tested. The school systems will not do it, as they are not registered in the school and they do not want to be a deciding factor in a custody case.
We are suppose to get it done in Holbrook at the county seat. The woman that is to do it was on vacation the week the kids were here. We are trying to get it set up for the next 10 days in May they are here. It will cut it short as the trial is June 4.
We also found out that the house we are renting is now in foreclosure. We have some options but the lawyer did not want my son to loose this house as it is large enough for all the kids. My son has to tell the lawyer the house is in foreclosure and see what he wants us to do.
When it rains it pours as they say.
Son is suppose to get home tonight, which is almost Friday now. If he got tired he was going to stop and sleep some. I may have to go to bed before he gets here, as I am getting tired.
Ann-Hope the itching stops. Guess you will have to keep the heat up or something to stay warm.
It has been cold here, but suppose to warm up. I like the warmer weather.
There wasn't much to report today. Gloria was here and we sorted through one large milk crate that I use for a cupboard, cleaned off my lower work space and after she left I cleaned another shelf in the refrigerator freezer. She will be here again tomorrow, but we have to take Gidget to the groomers and go into Eatonville to pick up prescriptions. Those two things will eat up a lot of my day.
I read some, but not all of my mail. I got a lot of catalogs today. I like that, I used to window shop, but now my shopping is limited to catalogs and online. I lost a catalog last week, If any of you know of the catalog that showed sheets with either embroidered or lace borders for I think $ 19.95 I need to know what is the company. I need to order those sheets.
That's it for today.
I finally finished reading my book so back to taking care of things around the house.
Nina, my life does sound busy but I could do with less busy with Dr. app't. Did the grands get the testing done while they were visiting?
It is warm outside but still windy. I have been a little chilly inside. My bare head doesn't help. I am trying at the suggestion of the N P to not put on a cover so the itchy spots will go away. That doesn't seem to be happening. They are from the chemo. I've put a prescription cream on them but that isn't helping either. Things could be worse.
