That is north of me and the area where my son lives. I took the scenic route when I came home from there yesterday. I did see some color, but not as much as in previous years. I am wondering if my son was correct in thinking some of the fields are being left fallow.
There are some daffodils blooming somewhat lower than where I live. I saw on forsythia bush was budded but not quite ready to bloom. With the sunshine yesterday and again today the weather is warming and perhaps by now that bush is bright yellow.
I am hoping that when I go outside with Gidget I will see some sprouts in the pot I planted with peas. The carrots are drowned so I will have to replant them. They say farmers are the ultimate optimists. I like to think that I am optimistic, does that make me a farmer?
See you all later,

Hi, The snow is gone! Daffodils are blooming and the grass is greening up. Good time for spring cleaning!
Today I'm making Orange Glazed Ham and Luscious Lemon Pineapple Salad from the Family and Friends Cookbook. Also Father's Classic Potato Salad from the Cooking Healthy with a Man in Mind Cookbook. This is a favorite! I use light Miracle Whip. More zip than fat free Mayo.
good Afternoon. I woke up and it was raining out. Not real heavy but getting the ground wet anyway. Couldn't decide if I was going to do my grocery shopping or put it off. By the time I had read the paper and had breakfast the rain stopped and I decided to go grocery shopping. The commissary wasn't busy at all so a good time to go. Sure glad I didn't need much as there wasn;t room in my cart for any more items when I headed to the cashier.
Welcome Pat, Do you still have snow on the ground in Conn.? I have my mothers house for sale in Ma. and wondered if this was to early to have the house gone over to get rid of the cob webs and I'm sure once the snow does melt there will be lots of sticks on the ground. I have a young man and mother that do this for me. They are friends of a neighbor. You're doing very well if you are able to stay on maintenance. Not easy at all.
I hope we hear from Jan. I think she had her Dr. app't Thur. or Fri.
Boy, We've had a complete reversal in our weather patterns. We had snow Saturday night and yesterday. After several hours of sunshine and thawing there were still four inches + on the rails on our back deck. When we left my house to drive north to my son's we drove through several storms of snow, some almost blizzards. You should have seen the skies. They ranged from brilliant blue with towering white clouds to deep black clouds in streaks across the skies. It must be spring! I don't see those kinds of clouds and that weather pattern at any other time of the year.
I can't remember if I told you. The show that Jerry Lewis put on the other night was great. I developed a great deal more respect for the man during that evening. He praised people with whom he has previously worked and had nothing but kind words to say about everyone. I was truly impressed and so grateful for the opportunity to see him in person. He is now 87 years of age and is representative of a very special period in our lives.
Gotta get out of here now. I want to get through the Seattle area before the afternoon rush begins. I'll see you after I get back home.

Patty, I had gained all of the weight I had lost and then gained some more. So I am starting at the beginning--last week I started. I did lose two pounds this week but I have a long way to go. Let's keep each other accountable. I know you can lose---I just know it. I know I can keep losing--I just know it.
Today I am spending time with The LORD. I have to work on my Bible Studies. Then more Spring Cleaning. Like I said before it will take me all of Spring and Summer to get done the Spring Cleaning. So maybe then I will not have to do Fall Cleaning!!!!!!
Patty, I am sure when your weather starts getting nice you will be walking in the woods.
Right now I had to let go of our Health Club membership. I am a little upset about that because I liked their pool. However, we have a nice pool in our townhome complex and I fully intend to use it daily. I am also doing the Leslie Sansone's DVD's I have and I will start dancing to the Richard Simmons DVD's I have. Of course, I will still be dancing to my CD's. I am trying to alternate daily except for swimming or pool walking which I will be doing daily.
Well, Everyone, Please Have A Very Blessed And Wonderful Monday!
Oh my gosh, girls, it is 50 degrees outside...no wonder I am hot and sweating down by the big wood stove. Sounds like it is time to get the small one running, and get the big one shut down.
Supposed to be up to 55 today with more rain. That should help get our snow gone. I can hardly wait to walk in the woods instead of just the driveway. Can hardly wait. The way it was going, I was wondering if we would have snow into May...time will tell.
We did get more snow over the weekend, snow and ice...then we could hear the ice falling from the trees onto the pole barn...really loud...lol
Well, girls, I have gained 6 pounds instead of that 4 pounds. I will change my weight on my ticker...bah disgusted with myself. I was doing so well for me, losing about 15 pounds a year, then this year, I just do not want to fight it anymore. If I keep up with this attitude, I will gain all my weight back. That is not an option, so I need to start fighting again...bah again.
lunch at senior center today.
Oh, I finished my afghan for baby's room. It turned out really nice. I need to sew a toddler sweater together, and will get them on my blog tonight sometime. I will let you know when the new pics are on there...
