Good Afternoon Ann and Judy and all who will follow!
Ann, I did read yesterday. I guess it was one of those days. I am having one of those days today also.
Judy, I am so glad you enjoyed Jerry Lewis.
Today has been one of those lazy days. Reading, Bible Study and sleeping. I was not feeling well this morning and DH was tired from the last few days so we did not go to Church. We will either go tonight or watch our Pastor on the internet. Depends on how we are all feeling. DD is still recovering. She was a little upset because she missed the Singles Group at our Church this morning. It just started last week and she loved it! They actually have their own worship time and Bible Study. Like I told her the group is going to be their next week.
Everyone, please Have A Very Blessed And Wonderful Sunday!
Good Day everyone,
Jerry Lewis was terrific. I didn't realize that he is now 87 years old. He was a bit shaky and sat during the latter part of his appearance, but his humor was still sharp and contagious. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing and seeing him. Because I use a wheelchair for such events where I might have to walk great distances, (this was certainly no exception) Our seats were in the front section. They seated us well off to the side and he was difficult to see through the people in front of us. But, there were huge monitors directly in front of the audience (me) and I could see very clearly. It was so wonderful seeing him and recognizing what a true gentleman he is. He never said an unkind word about the people with whom he has worked over the years, and he cleared up some of the mysteries of our times. My youngest son was my escort for the evening and he had no idea what a wonderful performer and gentleman is Jerry Lewis. (Yes, because we were in the nightclub part of a casino, the humor was at times pretty raw, but less so than I anticipated)
We drove back to my house because it is closer than my son's. the last fifteen miles we had heavy snow falling. Before we went to bed there were at least four inches of snow on the ground. It is melting this morning, but even now, at almost noon, there is a lot of snow left on the ground and in the trees. I am so ready for summer. At least I know that this won't hurt the peas I planted a couple of weeks ago. I am reminded of something I was told many years ago. Snow is the poor farmer's fertilizer. My peas should do well.
I am going to get out of here for now because Alex, and I have to get ready to take him home and to do some shopping on the way. I will come back either tonight or very early tomorrow and I'll see you then.
I wonder if everyone was having a reading day like I did yesterday. Started a book and couldn't put it down until I finished it just before midnight. It was gray and darn chilly yesterday and again today. DH and I even had the electric blanket on last night. I know we are wimps. Our heaters have been shut off so we're just toughing it out.
