Ann, I am sorry your markers are up. Is that a result of starting chemo again, or are they starting the chemo because the markers are up? I'm confused, (so what else is new
Jan, I am concerned about you. Here it is spring and now you get sick! What kind of timing is that? Actually it is not unusual. Our immune systems are at their least effective in the early spring. Ain't that a crock
. I hope that by now you are feeling much better. Do you have any ginger in the house? Ginger tea will easily settle your stomach. So will ginger beer, but most people don't like that. I love it, but then, you know crystalized ginger is one of my favorite foods. I think it is a food group all by itself
I did get to see my sleep disorders doctor today
, but one and a half hours late. I left here with plenty of time to get there and then there were two that closed freeways. I do know alternate routes, but they'd have taken longer to get there. I called in to ask if they wanted to reschedule and he said he'd see me if I got there by eleven thirty. I made it at 11:28. It took me four and a half hours to get there. I also had trouble getting gas. It wasn't really a good day before noon.
However, after noon it got really great! I went to a store/service station where Michael used to go. The man in there remembered Michael, got the things I wanted and cashed a check for my purchase plus ten gallons of gasoline. Pretty cool, huh! Traffic on the way home was very crowded, but smooth and I made it with relatively little problem.
I did see two car fires on the way. I haven't seen a car fire in years. One was really roaring when I passed it. The other just started and was a lot of smoke but no flames yet. I have to say that when I passed that car the smoke was coming up all around it and I could see that the interior was also full. I don't know if the driver got out. I certainly hope so. His car was part way into the intersection and I had to swing out to get around it. Thank goodness there was no oncoming traffic at that moment.
