Ann, I am sorry your markers are up. Is that a result of starting chemo again, or are they starting the chemo because the markers are up? I'm confused, (so what else is new )
Jan, I am concerned about you. Here it is spring and now you get sick! What kind of timing is that? Actually it is not unusual. Our immune systems are at their least effective in the early spring. Ain't that a crock . I hope that by now you are feeling much better. Do you have any ginger in the house? Ginger tea will easily settle your stomach. So will ginger beer, but most people don't like that. I love it, but then, you know crystalized ginger is one of my favorite foods. I think it is a food group all by itself !
I did get to see my sleep disorders doctor today , but one and a half hours late. I left here with plenty of time to get there and then there were two that closed freeways. I do know alternate routes, but they'd have taken longer to get there. I called in to ask if they wanted to reschedule and he said he'd see me if I got there by eleven thirty. I made it at 11:28. It took me four and a half hours to get there. I also had trouble getting gas. It wasn't really a good day before noon.
However, after noon it got really great! I went to a store/service station where Michael used to go. The man in there remembered Michael, got the things I wanted and cashed a check for my purchase plus ten gallons of gasoline. Pretty cool, huh! Traffic on the way home was very crowded, but smooth and I made it with relatively little problem.
I did see two car fires on the way. I haven't seen a car fire in years. One was really roaring when I passed it. The other just started and was a lot of smoke but no flames yet. I have to say that when I passed that car the smoke was coming up all around it and I could see that the interior was also full. I don't know if the driver got out. I certainly hope so. His car was part way into the intersection and I had to swing out to get around it. Thank goodness there was no oncoming traffic at that moment.
Patty, is that dishcloth pattern cast on four stitches, turn, k1 yo, k the rest of the row and repeat until ?(how many stitches) then k1, k2together k the rest of the row until you have four stitches left. If not, would you please correct my memory.
So, Now I am home again. I am very tired since I didn't sleep well last night and left here very early this morning. I will talk with you again tomorrow.
Ann, I'm sorry to hear your cancer markers are up. When you're geared to fight the battle you want to hear things are improving. You're in my prayers, too. That is interesting your DD's boyfriend from he past contacted her. You'll have to keep us posted on where he is living, etc.
Jan, no lab results for me either. They should have gotten the cancer marker test results yesterday but probably to busy to know they came in.
I had a mamo and bone scan today. Seems the mamo's aren't as bad as they use to be. Then off to Penny's to return the petite capries that the next week they had the regular sizes and I was able to get my size.
Patty's I got my Ebay bridge game in the mail today. Looks new and even had batteries in it. I'm real pleased.
DD stopped by after work and said you'll never guess who I heard from yesterday. Her high school boy friend. He went into the Marines and once I even took her to the base north of us so she could visit with him. Last we heard he was living in Fl. and married. She has never married and in her 50's. She responded to him but hasn't heard back yet so we're not sure where he is living. The funny thing is the other night when I was lying in bed I thought about him but for the life of me could not remember his last name.
Just got the call from the oncology N P. my cancer markers are up about 3,000. She said you remember we told you that can happen when you start a new chemo and Dr and I talked and we want to continue two or three more times and see what happens. Such a bummer.

Patty, First let me answer you questions. I am glad you are not letting us off the hook today. Yesterday: Water-Yes; Moving--No (I do not have any excuse--just lazy); Healthy Eating--Yes I have to start exercising again! I think my CD's are calling me to dance!!!!!
Yesterday's Bible Study was Great! After listening to the Video of Unglued and answering questions from the Participant's Guide, I realize this is going to be a deeper Bible Study than I thought it was going to me. I am Very Glad about that! The women who I sat with at the table are great and we had deep discussions. I enjoy our Tuesday Morning Bible Study at my home but I really, really like the Wednesday Morning Ladies Bible Study at our Church. I learned so much yesterday from it and it was the first day of the Study!
Well, I got a lot of cleaning and other things to do so I better get off and do them!
We are in sunny Calif. except it is raining today:) We got the kids yesterday and we all had a great time. They had a small Christmas with their dad, and Easter Egg hunt at the park. As well as flying a kite. They all had so much fun and it was so good to see my son smile again. As well as the kids smiling and hugging there dad off and on. We go back to AZ tomorrow and the kids have to be back here on the 13. The drive is actually 14 1/2 hours for us, so I was really tired.
Patty-so glad you have sunshine. Hopefully it will last a few days for you.
I may not be back on here till Sat. when I am back home Nina
Good morning Girls, It is Thursday already. Where has the week gone...
We still have lots of snow on the ground. Though the days are getting progressively warmer. It is 37 out right now. Probably in the low 40's this afternoon...and SUNSHINE...yes, I am hollering, sunshine...we have been without it most of the winter. Makes for a long winter without sunshine...lol
lunch at senior center then pick up cousin, and go to the store...
I have some dishcloths for her, 6 of them. That is the end of my dishcloths...I will need to make many more for the kids...since I have so much cotton yarn, and I need new bathroom washcloths...voila, make them...woohoo, now I am getting somewhere...I can give my old washcloths to hubby for working on bikes...they are pretty raggedy...
ok girls, I have let you off the hook lately,. but not today.
