Good Evening! Today was the Ladies Bible Study here at my townhome. Then one of the ladies and I went out for an Healthy Lunch. Then read a little. Now time for bed.
Good evening everyone,
Wouldn't you know it, I had all the heat in the house turned off over the weekend and now it is cold again. I just turned the small electric wall heater in my room back on.
I didn't have a really good night last night at five am I finally got up and took some medication and after six I finally went to sleep. Something woke me temporarily around ten, but I went right back to sleep until after noon. I'm feeling pretty good right now though.
I started again on a long term project of mine. I collect recipes. Last night I cut out a bunch from the King Arthur Catalog. I save those for that purpose. Of course, I also find a number of utensils I want to add to my growing collection. Now what use would I have for a cast iron pan that bakes acorn shaped cupcakes? But, it's cute!
Anyway, I got them all cut out and even got some of them taped on plain white paper in a notebook. I got slightly side tracked when there were recipes back to back. I then checked in the computer and found all the recipes were there as well. I took yet another turn and copied all of the "Classic Apple Pie" recipes listed on the first page in the computer. That was fun.
I have fun with this project which I began when I was in my early twenties. I now have quite a collection even though I lost almost fifteen hundred recipes in a computer that got broken. I spent a winter in Texas transcribing all those recipes from Tex-Mex books to Cajun and on to Creole books that I borrowed from friends. Some of those books were very old and the collection was obviously extensive.
One of the reasons I hesitate to move to a mini house is that I just can't part with my walls of cookbooks. I have been gathering them for so long and they would be next to worthless to someone else. To me they represent the changes we've gone through during the years. They are a history of America.
Well, I've taken enough of your time extolling about my collection. I'll see you all tomorrow.
Jan, good you called the doctor about the rash. You just never know.

Good afternoon ladies,
We had light rain this morning but it's nice now. Will be in the mid-50s.
Today my task is to give the lab a sample and trot it down to the hospital lab within an hour. Yesterday I could have given 4 samples - today nada! I have developed a brigh red rash (doesn't hurt or itch) under my belly so another call to doctor. So tired of this. I just want to show up and say life is great. I think I do feel better without the med.
I'm not going to TOPS tomorrow but I did get out to have lunch with a friend today.
Patty, I'm not getting any exercise until I feel better/know what's going on but I'm on plan and drinking water.

Nina, I hope you see this. If you bring the grands to Az. will your DS have to return them to Ca/Or.? Seems to me the mother should be responsible to pick them up one direction or meet your DS 1/2 way for both coming and going. I know, I know the reasonable thing doesn't always work out.
Not much going on here. I did get some ironing done and will take a shower in a bit and get dressed. I have a Dr. app't this afternoon with the oncologist. Just routine before chemo next week.
Jan, I hope taking your off the meds helps your stomach problem.
