Nina, Can your son afford to rent a van? That would be the least expensive choice until he knows exactly what he will need to accomodate the children. He may not need to purchase a van if he doesn't have them full time.
Most passenger cars now have three belts in the back seat so he can actually take the children in a sedan or station wagon if the oldest is tall enough to sit in the front seat.
I am still praying. It is really important to me that no more children are subjected to a poor future because their mother lied in court. I've already seen that too many times.
Nina, What a long, drawn-out deal this is turning out to be. All of you need our prayers. Take care of yourself amidst all this.

Thanks Judy and all the rest for all the prayers.
My son did not get full. In fact the judge did not any testimony and did not want to disrupt the kids yet. This was just a pre-trial for my son to have custody till the real trial.
He did get 10 days a month and she has to meet him half way. Which is at my oldest daughter house. She has been helping her brother out. Also the kids have to be tested in Arizona for where they are in school.
So my son is happy.
We are just asking for prayer for a vehicle that will carry 4 kids as she took the van and killed it while in Oregon. He has to be able to transport the kids back to AZ for the testing when it is arranged and then back to Calif.
I am so tired from the stress of it that I will read all your posts tomorrow.
It's tea time at my house. DH is gone this morning so I've been puttering and just sat down to have a cup of tea.
Patty, I hope you had a nice time in town at senior lunch and I imagine you've been getting all kinds of things done.
It is just cloudy out today. My cat is sitting out in the raised bed feeling the fresh air and warmth. I swept off the front walkway and a few spider webs on the house. Next I'll clean the patio door. I have some laundry to dry and fold. One more cup of tea and I'll be at it.

Good Morning Patty and all to follow. I slept in again until about 9 and DH didn't get up until just after 11 a.m. He's sick. I know it is allergies which on him are just like a cold. Sore throat, stuffed up etc etc. He's been working in the yard too. He says he's been taking his allergy pills.
I've just got a vegetable corn chowder in the crock pot. Got a bunch of frozen vegetable odds and ends in there. Good way to clean out the freezer drawer.
Nina. is your son's court hearing in Ca. or Az.? I hope he gets a far shake. Lying women are not very nice. I know in a lot of custody and divorce cases it's always the woman that is poor me. Well, that certainly wasn't the case in my DS divorce. It was so nasty and went on for 2 lawyers each and lasted over two years. Trust me I kept notes and have a steno book full and also a large 9 x 12 binder. DS even now saves all the emails she sends him. It is better now that is is about 8 - 10 years later, but every once in a while there is a blow up over something. GS has told his dad he would like to live with him full time. They share custody.by spliting the week and every other week end. DS does seem to have him more because of his sports which mother will not pay a cent towards even though she makes more money than DS. If Aunt Sue wasn't available they both would be in a big mess.
