Ann, I wish you all the best in the coming year. I am sorry I am late, but I hadn't checked your page lately.
I was just on here, and there were boobies on each side of the screen...I almost don't want to come on here anymore because of it...mercy
Dh is presently making egg salad sandwiches to take to the shop tomorroe for his and Ds lunch. I like them too.
Patty, I also sort my left over small balls of yarn in baskets. Amazing the verigated always changes and you never see an old pattern again. At least from Red Heart. My knitting has suffered the last couple of weeks.
Yes, yesterday was my birthday. A much better day than last year when I got the news I had cancer. Thanks for all the good wishes. We'll go out for dinner another night. I feel fine in fact I can't believe what a good sleep I had last night. Went to bed at 11 pm. up at 2 for the bathroom, back to bed until 6 a.m and then didn't wake up again until 8:45 am. That a long stretch for me.
#1DS and DIL called from N. C. late. I asked if the storm had hit there yet and he quickly pulled up the weather map on the computer and said it looks like it will hit any time. He also tried to bring us up to speed on the new computer remote. Interesting what he can pull up on the computer and then walk us through stuff.
DS does consulting work by using the computer to plan and estimate construction cost and equipmenet needed for the work of jobs. He has a lightening company in NYC he has been doing work for. Said he had a long conversation with the owner and mentioned DIL had been in Mi. getting her dad set up with in home care and how his memory was getting so bad in the last month. The fellow said you should talk to my dad who specialized in geriatric medicine. DS said the fellows dad called him and was telling him that he had been doing work in seniors with memory loss. He said that when a person reaches 60 they slowing can lose their memory because they aren't getting enough B-12. If caught early enough with B-12 vitamins or B-12 shots the memory can get better. The amount of B-12 in a persons system can be determined by a blood test. I thought this was very interesting. Something to check with ones doctor about.
This morning I read the Sunday paper and then neighbor lady came over to check on me. Now it is back to the book. Earlier DD came by and left me with a bottle of Milk of Magnesia.

Hi Jan and all,
Yesterday we had brilliant sunshine. Right now the sunshine is somewhat watery. Still the weather patterns signify spring. I find it interesting that your weather patterns are different from Portland's. Your weather must be strongly influenced by the ocean and Portland's are influenced by the winds coming down the gorge and the Willamette Valley's heat accumulation.
I too love egg salad. Now you've made me hungry. Thank goodness I have lots of eggs on hand. I was thinking of blowing them and doing colored eggs for Easter. I don't know if I will do that after all. I would like to have the blown eggs that are colored for making Christmas ornaments. Yes, I am already thinking Christmas.
I appreciate the information of the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval. I knew that it was not sponsored by advertisers, but there are other things I did not know. I'll have to check to see if I can get that program on the internet.
I am going to go down and get something to eat. I didn't go down yesterday, but nibbled here at my desk. I don't want to do that today. I have yogurt in the frug and fresh blueberries too. I guess that those two will combine well. I will also put some eggs on to boil. Egg salad coming up.
Good morning Patty & everyone,
The rain finished up yesterday early afternoon so after church I plan to go out to do some more weeding. Got started yesterday.
DS feeds the crows - there are two who have this "territory" and one is hopping around near the front window cawing asking for some breakfast. He will have to wait.
We're having egg salad sandwiches for lunch. Dh loves them. Dinner will be chicken and ? Thankfully the lemon cake I have been nibbling on is gone so it won't call my name. The Costco strawberries are delicious! That will be dessert.
Patty it's fun imagining you moving from the downstairs, larger wood stove with all your knitting up to the upstairs smaller wood stove. Soon that snow will melt and you'll be able to get out for walks.
I missed exercise yesterday except for the weeding. I think I need to stick to plain walking until I see my doctor and ask about the bursitis. I know the bursitis exercises make my hip feel better but I rarely do them. What's up with that?!
Patty, I'm glad to say there's no girl showing her boobies on the Spark ads on the side of the screen. There's no picture either so I think Spark got onto whoever was placing that ad.
This morning I watched a bit of Sunday Morning on CBS. I like the very end where they show wonderful live scenery like birds or blossoms. There was a segment about the Good Housekeeping Seal of approval and how highly effective it is. I had assumed it was something the advertisers paid for but apparently not - they screen everyone who places an ad in their magazine. Sort of nice to know that.

Good morning Girls,
Ann, did I miss your birthday? I am sorry. Happy belated birthday.
gray skies and 29 here this morning.
I am getting a girl showing her boobies on the left of my spark screen. what is up with that. If I knew how to complain to spark, I surely would.
Finished knitting a toddler sweater yesterday. Now I just need to weave in ends and sew the seams. Not my favorite part.
Worked on 1 panel for DGD new afghan for her bedroom this morning. Each color take 1 hour per panel. There are 3 colors, and 9 panels, so 27 hours, is that right? That's a lot of hours isn't it...and since I need to do it in silence, you see my dilemma...lol
I am working on another toddler sweater. It is brown on the bottom, and the yoke and sleeves are in a variegated called oranges. All different colors of orange and white...with a bit of yellow thrown in...I think a long sleeve yellow t shirt with this sweater over it would be darling...the sleeves are 3/4 length. I am using the Guidepost T top sweater pattern. It is so easy...
Nothing much else to report. Still have lots and lots of snow...I should get out there and get some pics. I think on April 1, I will do that. maybe, if I remember. Wonder if we will get any of that storm out west. Is it coming this way, do you know?
I am a boring person. I have nothing to talk about except the weather and my yarny projects..
Once we get upstairs to the other room, and the small wood stove, in a few weeks, I will bring up all my yarn, get lots of boxes and plastic storage containers, and sort the yarn by color. Any yarn that I do not want, or will not use, take to our local charity here in our county...I did take some knitting and crochet mags there already. That will be some job, bringing it all upstairs, then sorting and taking it back downstairs...but it is doable. I will spend some time each day on it, and when done, it will be nice and organized...
Have a blessed day girls.
