Thank you Jan, I found the site and copied the directions. Now I can make big batches during the summer. I need to get all the parts of my ice cream freezer together so I can make frozen yogurt. Carol will like that.
The sun is shining very brightly today, almost blinding. I really do think spring is here even though we had four inches of snow yesterday. Most of that has melted. The quixotic weather is pretty common in the spring. I am now waiting for two of my favorite spring events. The first is the pussy willows popping out and the second is the pink dogwood. Those things are already happening in the lowlands. I know it won't be long before we see them.
I hope you all are having a great day. I'll see you later.

Hi everyone Just wanted to check in, even though it is late I cleaned today and took pictures of the house for my son to prove where he lives when he goes to the pre-trial. Please pray that the judge will see the lies and the parent alienation of his oldest girls. Also that my son will get custody until the real trial. He has not seen his kids in 5 months. He has been able to talk on phone and now on skype. He has no problem with his wife being with the kids or her family. My husband is going to testify against some of the allegations, so pray for him as he has stress related high blood pressure. Want to thank you for all your prayers so far. Praying for the sick, storms, and for after Kemo. Got to try and get some sleep. Nina
Patty, I am sorry you aren't feeling well. I hope it will be gone tomorrow.
Your discussion of strawberries is making me hungry, but I am trying to eat local and organic. I am quite sure those strawberries are neither. I'll just have to wait a couple of months until the local strawberries are in season. I can see I am going to be putting a lot in the freezer this summer. I haven't done that for years, but trying to eat clean is going to force me to preserve foods for next winter.
I will do more research and I will also try to find both Nancy's Yogurt and the powdered yogurt starter mentioned in the flyer that came with the yogurt maker. I have found organic milk and that is a big plus. I will keep working on the problem. I saw recently something about making yogurt in a slow cooker. I need to do more research on that too. I love frozen yogurt.
Gloria and I made yet another dent in the "stuff" on my desk. It is amazing how much material I have kept about recipes and cooking. I am going to have to transcribe all that into the computer and put it on discs. I am trying to get ready to move into an apartment and this much "Stuff" just isn't going to be good for me.
I need to check my other mail. I'll see you all again later. Have a great night, and sleep well.

Good Afternoon. I"ve been reading. I started a book late last night so I could stay awake until time to take my anti nausea pill at midnight. Of course I wanted to continue reading today, so that is what I've done. It is pretty nice out today. DH is playing gardner. He gets in one of those moods once in a while. He bought a lemon tree to plant so DD will have lemons for her tea. We have a dwarf one but it isn't doing very well.
The strawberry salad I made yesterday is very good. We'll have some tonight with some pizza slices I had in the freezer.
Jan, the only time I have missed walking with Leslie is the week I was in the hospital and the first week I was home. It sure keeps my stiff knee oiled.
You are right Jan, we are getting more snow, but it isn't sticking. The sun is shining brightly while the snow is coming down. Yes, we are getting all different kinds of weather today. This feels a lot more like spring. I was down in the "flat-lands" yesterday and there were many flowers blooming, mostly on trees. I hope the bees can get to those trees. It has been awfully chilly for the bees to fly. Anyway, The forsythia is beautiful this year. It was sunny down there for a while yesterday and the forsythia just jumped out at us.
My yogurt didn't set up right again. Half the batch is kefir and the other half is yogurt. There are six bottles in the frig right now. I have to figure out what is going wrong with my batches. The chicken noodle soup is all gone as of lunch today. Tonight I think I will make a salad using the London Broil that is in the frig.
Its nap time for me. I'll see you later.

We are having all kinds of weather today but no snow. Sun breaks, horrid black clouds, hail and on and on. It was 35 when I got up and 41 now.
How is your day going? What's for dinner tonight?
I've really been struggling getting my food and exercise right so I entered my meals for today in the nutrition area last night.
My plan for today is to work on the computer room. I want to try the Leslie Sansone DVDs again (had to quit because of bursitis in my hip) but I need some space. One of these days our son will be in his own place again and I'll have a whole family room to use.
My dinner is going to be grilled chicken tenders, steamed green beans, steamed cauliflower.
Nina, you are in my prayers for your family situation. Nothing hurts like when family is hurting.
Louise, You are in my prayers to get well.
Ann, You are in my prayers, too. I hope the days after chemo are going well.
Judy, I'll bet you are having snow.
Glenna, How are you doing?
Patty, You must be a busy bee today if you aren't here yet.
