Jan, I have often seen people in kilts, but not up here on the mountain. I am both Scot and Irish by heritage. I am actually a member of a Scottish clan. MacRae. My paternal grandmother was a McQuiston. I don't know if that is a clan or not. I do know that there are Irish Tartans as well as Scot.
I am at my daughter's and her sons have guests. The whole bunch of boys are having fun insulting each other. They are all in stitches. My daughter just came out of the kitchen and recited a poem about what the boys were discussing. The whole picture is hilarious.
Gotta go, Laughing too hard.
Hi Nina and Jan
Sorry I am on here so late but we had to go to a funeral today and then back to the person's family house. I have to say that the service was beautiful--they celebrated her life and not death.
Our daughter sang at the funeral and did a great job.
Well, I will post tomorrow after church. We are not greeting at our church tomorrow so we might be going to a friend's church. They are having service in one of the parks here in Chandler, AZ. Then they are having an Easter egg hunt for the children and hot dogs and hamburgers after the hunt. Next week we are greeting at our church. I was never a big church person but I have to admit that since we have been greeting and since I have been involved in the Ladies Bible Study we have met a lot of people. One thing I do not like is that the Pastor does not know us plus most of the congregation as it is a mega church! Oh well, I guess you cannot have everything! I am looking forward to going to the service at our friend's church because it is a small church.
Well, I will post again tomorrow but it might be late again.
The Spectrum is a book I ordered after watching Escape Fire on CNN. It was about how diet and other things have reversed heart disease, stopped some prostate cancers (and they said it should work for some other cancers) diabetes, etc. The doctor and institute were a proven method and now Medicare recognizes them. It is www.pmri.org/lifestyle_program.html#
They are suppose to air it again on CNN on Sunday again. I only saw part of it, so I want to see the whole thing if I can. Check it out.

Hi Nina and anyone else who stops by,
It hardly seems like Saturday here because Bruce got called to work and no sooner got home this afternoon when he went on another call. He should be home soon.
DS prepared corned beef, cabbage, carrots & potatoes and it was so delicious. I have never cooked it myself. Mom used to make it and it was always so stringy I didn't care for it. Today smelling the briscket cooking in the spices made me so hungry! Delicious.
I've been doing bits and pieces - folding laundry, putting some of my books in the bookshelf in the livingroom, cleaning.
I pre-ordered the new Spark book - have any of you?
Nina, what is the spectrum book?
I have to tell you I was at Costco yesterday and the guy (50ish) in front of us in the checkout line had on a kilt. Living in a smaller town now I wonder why the kilt and I didn't ask. I saw another, younger man about a year ago in a cafe in a kilt. Do any of you see fellows in kilts?

I guess everyone was busy today.
I got my spectrum book and was reading it this afternoon. Lots of information. Will have to figure out my own recipes as the ones in the book use a lot of light vinegars and things I cannot have with IC. But it sounds like it is worth it.
