I have also started a new book. This will make the third since I started having the sleep problems. Eventually I will get things back on even keel and I won't be doing so much reading.
I know that rain is needed in your area Ann, but I can do without Nina's snow. I've had way too much of that this year. It is finally melting off up here, but it has been a long haul. The slow melting has contributed to a healthier water table. The rivers are showing very little runoff. That is on the good side. The reservoir down river from us is being allowed to fill now. I like it when that happens. No more mud flats for a while.
I have done very little cooking lately, but today I made for myself a fine omelet I think I put in almost everything but the kitchen sink. It was delicious. I am trying to avoid the kitchen as I have been craving chocolate for several days. I am not going to give in to this craving until I can get a dark chocolate bar somewhere. Then I will limit my consumption. I am finding that it would be a very good idea for me to keep something like dark chocolate on hand. It is just too difficult to control cravings. I don't want to regain all the weight I've discarded.
I've tried to get rid of most of the dangerous items in my kitchen, but I still have a cupboard full of baking ingredients for when grandchildren come to visit. What good is a gramma without cookies? My caregiver cleaned the refrigerator last week and today, before we go grocery shopping we will clean out the refrigerator freezer. She has already done the door and one shelf, that means there are only three shelves and a bin to finish. There is no room outside in the chest freezer so if we can't use something it has to go.
Going shopping tomorrow isn't the best of plans, but it is the only opportunity before the sales are ended. I will be careful and stick to my list.
I'll see you later.
