Congratulations Jan, I wish I could go and weigh in. I have been trying to be so careful, but I have often exceeded my personal calorie range and I am afraid I have gained again. I hate that fear.
Nina, I thought you lived somewhere around there. I talked with my granddaughter last evening and asked her if snow was predicted for her and she said yes! It was raining at the time, but while we talked the rain turned to snow. She lives at 7500 feet near Flagstaff. Your reply gives me some idea of where you are. Thank you. I like putting people in their place.

Today was a TOPS day. Guess what? I was the "Featherweight" (best loser)- tied with one other lady. We each lost 1.75 lb. The way that goes in the winter, if we come back with a loss next week we split "the pot" (everyone who participates puts in fifty cents). It's nice to win but it's even nicer to lose.
Tomorrow I have labs and then Friday see my doctor. I'm eager to see what my a1c is.
It has gotten dark outside now. I am so slow today. So many interruptions. I tried an apple crisp in the toaster oven. It didn't work very well. I tried! Everything I cooked this afternoon didn't turn out well. It tasted good though.
I bought another cookbook today. It was listed in Jessica's Biscuit on Dave's specials. The price there was $10 but I checked Amazon and found it for $1.19. I have had really good luck with the books I've ordered on Amazon and recommend it to everyone. Most of the books I buy are priced at one cent. I rarely pay over a dollar for them and the shipping is always $3.99. That makes expensive books affordable. I am really pleased. Of course my bookcases are getting very full again.
I stayed with my diet more or less yesterday. I underate, but that is normal for me. I did as little moving as I could possibly do. Up and down the stairs many times. Stretching for things I dropped on the floor. You know the drill. I still count housework as exercise because I am coming back from not moving at all. No caregiver now since before Christmas. I have really been working trying to keep up with the house. I feel better though and I am thinking I will only have a caregiver come in twice a week in the future.
That's all for now folks. (its supposed to be Bugs Bunny)
BTW Nina, where in Arizona do you live? When you mentioned snow I thought of where my granddaughter lives, Flagstaff. Love, Judy
Nina, our #1DS who lives in N. C. has a terrible time with squirrels, mice and rats getting into the wiring of his older moter home they were parking on their property. It has finally sold and should be moved this week. They were not RVing. The people that bought it wanted to live in it while they built a house. They really lucked out and sold their PT Cruiser and 20 year old motor home with in two weeks.
Between DH and I I think we have the house cleaned. I dusted and he did the bath and floors.
It is cloudy today and we are suppose to have a 20% chance of snow today. Fine tomorrow and then chance of snow Friday, Sat. Sun. Mon. I was trying to get my dough cabinet cleaned and done to put in my room for a scrap book cabinet. I won't be able to use the curved metal bottom drawers (flour & Sugar drawers) I don't think. If the large middle bread board will work as a work surface then I can use the drawers. It is an antique. It is not fancy and I plan to paint it a light yellow color for cheerfulness. Do not know if we will get it finished. It was stored and mice and rats made nests in it. YUKKK . We have to spray and clean with lysol concentrate because of the virus they can carry. That is what it is like in our area with the mice and rats. Kangaroo mice, regular mice, pack rats, regular rats. One of the things you have to put up with to live in the high desert and pine trees.
Patty - have fun at your knitting class.
Ann - your meal last night sounded good, I think I will go out and get some grands biscuits and try it. I have left over shredded pork from Super bowl Sunday and I will use some of it.
Good Morning. (just what we need, an ad on the left side of the screen for See's candy) Here in the west they are super expensive. I can't have chocolate right now so phooey on them. I don't spend my dollars on their candy any way.
Well, last nights sleep wasn't the best. I'll go back to a O (anxiety pill) tonight.
My chicken pot pie was very good. I kinda combined several of Jo'e recipies. Next time I'll use two cans of soup and double the milk to have more sauce. My biscuits were Grands and bigger than the smaller size and they used up most of the sauce. This fit fine in an 8 x 8 dish. All gone too.
I'm trying to get my tax data together and missing two items that I should beable to pull up on the computer but can't.
I've noted to DH the one thing I miss about our new car is that it doesn't have that new car smell. He came home from his walk this morning with a $2.00 can of New Car Smell. This should be interesting.
No app'ts today or tomorrow for either of us. Yeah. It sure is gloomy outside and I don't think we'll see any sun again today.
