Our phone lines were messed up this morning. We couldn't call anywhere but our own prefix and my computer was not getting the internet. It is fixed now so here I am again.
The wonderful soup is all gone now. I have two pieces of cornbread left and I am going to give those to Carol because they are really high carb. That chicken pot pie sounds terrific. I have a recipe for that which uses phylo instead of a regular crust. I haven't figured out why a regular crust is higher in carbs, but it must be because all the diabetic recipes call for phylo. I don't know what I will fix for dinner tonight. I do know that I am going to make an apple crisp, but beyond that I haven't a clue. Something will come to mind.
Thanks for the warning Jan, you get the weather, especially rain somewhat in advance of when it hits here. I am actually hoping it rains really hard the rest of today and through the night. I need more snow to melt. I want to be able to get to the car so I can go to TOPS tomorrow. I hate to miss that meeting. It is right now the majority of my socializing. I also need to get out so I can get my dog groomed. She is in need especially of a bath. Her hair is getting pretty long, but if I brush her really well she won't develop any mats.
I am not envying you additional snow Patty. I just don't want it at all. I know it is beautiful to look at but it cramps my style.
Ann, you and I are in sync. I slept well last night as well. I went to bed around one this morning and slept soundly until around eight. Not bad at all. I'm Happy with that.
Happy birthday Jen. I hope you are having a great day.
See you all later.

It's raining and a bit windy. So I will exercise indoors today. Other than that I cleaned the kitchen real well this morning and I've been reading some information on nutrition.
Patty, Sure is cold where you are! I hope your wood stoves are warming things up.
Ann, Glad you slept well. Sounds like a busy day for you. Chicken pot pie sounds good. I've never had cream of noodle soup. It's a shame someone doesn't purchase your Mom's home. I agree - you could move in and make changes over time. I guess people who can afford to buy right now are beyond that?
Hi Patty, and all to follow. Last night was a good sleep with my tiny anxiety pill. DH and I have been busy beavers this morning with follow up phone calls, making app't etc etc. I have a hair app't, a tax app't and an eye app't. Also gotten a few thank you cards written.
Patty, the anxiety pills I have that I took one last night are Lorazepam 0.5 mg. They were prescribed to me when I was dreading the MRI but I never did take them. Maybe something like that would help you sleep.
DH has cut the chicken off the roaster and I'm going to make a pot pie with canned biscuits on top.
Have any of you ever had cream of noodle soup. In the hospital I was given that and it was really good. The container said it had been pureed and strained. It looked like it also might have been thickened a little.
Now if I could get rid of my drippy nose I'd be real happy.
Realtor in Ma. sent me an email to renew contract. He has shown the house 4 times in 90 days. That is progress. He said all said it was too much work for them. It does need work but still ready livable right now and do the work at your own pace.
