Dr. app't was at 11 a.m. 10:00 a.m. the office calls and asks if I could come in early. Said we could be there at 10:30. We got there about 10:25 a.m. I saw the doctor just about 12:30 p.m. and got out of there by 1 p.m. This is the office that gives you a packet when you come for your first visit and in it there is a paper that says you must be on time for your appointments. If you are late you will not be seen and must reschedule. Sure
I report to the hospital at 9:20 a.m. and surgery is at 11:20 a.m. on Friday the 25th. I could be in the hospital 5 - 7 days. If there are problems I could go into therapy/nursing care. Problems being you can't poo. No food all day Thursday and doesn't look like I'll get much to eat for the first two days after surgery.
DH and I did get the grocery shopping done. When we got home and I'm putting things away I see DH got him self several cans of chili. I guess he won't starve. He better not try feeding me that stuff. This will be interesting when I do come home and DH will have to fix a few meals.
Nice to see a post by Nina. I guess she got my message.
Just reading your letters makes me feel cold. I am really wanting spring to come. I have to say that the warm? days here are melting the snow slowly so the earth can absorb the water and that is good for the water table. Still, I am so looking forward to spring. I want to see real flowers not lovely ice crystals.
I am really sorry you all have bad weather. I would like to say that if I have bad weather you can count on it moving east to you. The problem with that is the storms amplify as they move east.
Paulissa your assignments sound so big and so interesting. I am interested that you are working in black and white. Those images can be far more interesting in that the different patterns are so apparent. I didn't get very much of that. Tell me where you find film for your camera? I have difficulty finding an film and finding developers is next to impossible.
Ann, I am so sorry you aren't feeling like driving. Driving is one of my greatest pleasures and it is the way I relax when things get tough. My father taught me to leave my emotions behind when I get behind the wheel and that makes driving a wonderful experience for me. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't drive.
Patty, I remember days of cold like you are experiencing. I certainly don't envy you. I can tell you that you probably have better weather on the way, but only by degrees. We've had sunshine for several days now and it is predicted to last at least till the weekend. That being said, the cold is hanging on. It is warmer now, but just enough to melt the top layer of snow and make more Ice underneath. James made me a new path so I can get to the car more easily. I am now parking under the trees where there isn't any snow.
I hope all of you get warmer soon. I know January and February are the coldest months of the year and we are about halfway through the cold period. Warmer days are coming.

It is a snowy, slick morning here in the Heartland but at least a little warmer than yesterday. Thankfully, the only thing I have to drive for today is the MRI on my ankle. Not much going on today but taking the remaining portraits for my photography assignment due tomorrow. What are you up to today?
did you move? yes. I did yoga and free weights since I can't put weight on this ankle
did you drink your water? yes
did you stick to your lifestyle food plan? yes
It is you, YOU who must be at peace. Only then are you effective in bringing change to yourself. ~Paul Davies
