Good morning Patty and all,
Patty you make me ever so glad I decided to relocate to the Pacific Northwest. We had a bad spell over the holidays and there are residual problems, but I remember Michigan winters all together too well. They were wonderful when I was a child, but now I'd just as soon put up with a lot of rain and milder temperatures.
Last night I took James and his dog for an emergency visit to the Vet. The dog is ill and passing blood. James was in a panic and it seemed the wiser thing to get them to the vet. The vet said without further tests she couldn't determine what was the cause of the dog's illness. As it was the visit cost a hundred dollars and James hasn't been able to work at all since last summer. Then he was only able to work part time because of his MS. He has applied for SSI and is currently going through the testing process.
When we came back last evening I parked in a different place and today when he is able James will dig a path through the ice for me. Actually in that location there may not be as much snow and ice for him to dig through. At least I won't have to climb the rise and subsequent slide down the hill from my car. It will be much safer for me to come and go by myself when I take James home.
Dental appointment tomorrow and an medical appointment for James are on my schedule for this week. I will be missing TOPS again this week, but getting James to and from the doctor is a priority. Last time his transportation home didn't show up and he walked the twelve miles home on a dark, narrow road that has high traffic. He fell twice and still has blood blisters on his feet from that experience. It won't happen again. I will make sure of that.
So, there it is. I will do some shopping tomorrow because I am out of fresh produce. Since I will be in town anyway I will get my laundry done too. I try to complete as many errands as possible during every trip. It is much more efficient that way. Besides, I will have help tomorrow, I never know when that will be the case.
I'll see you all later.
