Whew! Busy day here and a cold one! 9 above with a windchill of -24. I was glad to stay inside and that I didn't have classes today for MLK Day. This morning I worked on my self-portraits for my assignment that is due Wed. I have 3 more people to take portraits of tomorrow and then the assignment is finished! 120 images, all in b/w. Then I can work on the images for my photography mentorship - another 100 images. Subject: textures and patterns, black and white.
After I finished the photos, I moved on to doing my legal papers for tomorrow. I am ready to roll.
It is you, YOU who must be at peace. Only then are you effective in bringing change to yourself. ~Paul Davies
Hi everyone Well I am back here in Az. Have not made my home page again yet. Will try and get to it this week. Will let you all know on the home page whats been happening. Hope you all have a great day
the temps have dropped to 5 degrees, instead of climbing. It has snowed all day. I opted to stay home. Hubby went to lunch, came home and plowed, then went to his physical therapy. Last time. He just needs to keep up on his exercises.
Let's see, how many DGC. I have 8 and one on the way.
Started an outfit for new baby, need to take it out, as it is turning out too big. I hate using small hooks. Will need to go to a D for ribbing and an E for the body...small hooks.
cute pattern though...I am excited to tear it out and start over again...lol
have a good day. Seems like this has been a cold and snowy winter. We really need the snow, as the lakes and rivers are all down from what they were a few years ago.
Judy, that is a shame your friend had to walk 12 miles home when his transportation didn't show up. Somebody should get a good chewing out. I hope his dog is doing better. Vet bills are as bad as human medical bills.
Patty, how many grand children do you have now?
I have a grocery list all made out but just don't feel like driving out to the commissary. Maybe when DH gets home we'll both go or we'll just go tomorrow after my Dr. app't. There are days I just don't feel like driving the car.
Patty you make me ever so glad I decided to relocate to the Pacific Northwest. We had a bad spell over the holidays and there are residual problems, but I remember Michigan winters all together too well. They were wonderful when I was a child, but now I'd just as soon put up with a lot of rain and milder temperatures.
Last night I took James and his dog for an emergency visit to the Vet. The dog is ill and passing blood. James was in a panic and it seemed the wiser thing to get them to the vet. The vet said without further tests she couldn't determine what was the cause of the dog's illness. As it was the visit cost a hundred dollars and James hasn't been able to work at all since last summer. Then he was only able to work part time because of his MS. He has applied for SSI and is currently going through the testing process.
When we came back last evening I parked in a different place and today when he is able James will dig a path through the ice for me. Actually in that location there may not be as much snow and ice for him to dig through. At least I won't have to climb the rise and subsequent slide down the hill from my car. It will be much safer for me to come and go by myself when I take James home.
Dental appointment tomorrow and an medical appointment for James are on my schedule for this week. I will be missing TOPS again this week, but getting James to and from the doctor is a priority. Last time his transportation home didn't show up and he walked the twelve miles home on a dark, narrow road that has high traffic. He fell twice and still has blood blisters on his feet from that experience. It won't happen again. I will make sure of that.
So, there it is. I will do some shopping tomorrow because I am out of fresh produce. Since I will be in town anyway I will get my laundry done too. I try to complete as many errands as possible during every trip. It is much more efficient that way. Besides, I will have help tomorrow, I never know when that will be the case.
