The propane truck can come up our road and can even come in our driveway, but they need money to deliver propane. I can't come up with what they need and Carol is spending her money buying a car for Mary.
I am sorry to keep bothering all of you with my woes. I am really doing just fine considering that I do have a radiator beside my bed and the temperature in my room, while not comfortable is survivable.
I've been waiting for you Ann. I understand what you are saying about your house not being built for the chill. Washington weather is also influenced by the ocean and it is rare for us to have temperature below freezing and last night the temperature fell to fourteen degrees. The little oil filled radiators we have just aren't going to be able to handle that. However, they are keeping us from freezing ourselves. That is no small task.
I hope the results you get from your lab tests allow you to go camping. I am a tent camper. I bought a trailer to take camping, but it proved to be too much for my son's truck. I let Mary use it and after she and her dogs damaged it beyond repair I gave it to her. Now I wish I could get it off my property.
I did some recipe searching last night. I wanted to find a recipe for Dutch Babies. I found several and copied one to use when I can actually do some cooking. Last night I made split pea soup. I used a three quart sauce pan and threw in everything but the kitchen sink. I warmed a bowl for my lunch today and was amazed that it had turned sweet overnight. Last night it was quite salty. It was good both times. I had more than I could eat this afternoon so I let Gidget have some. She ate the whole thing in no time at all. Wow!
I am getting chilled again so I am going to crawl back in bed and get warm. I'll talk with you again later.
Hellooooooooooooo Where is every one. Late morning here and I'm complaining about the cold again. I know we have it so much better than most of the nation but our house just isn't set up for this chill. The sun is out and by Wed. it is suppose to warm up. I can hardly wait. DH has been covering our dwaft lemon tree every night. The poor farmers through out Ca. are trying to save their crops by covering them. I can't even imagine what a job that must be.
Not much going on today. I'm so up in the air. Are we going camping next week end or not. I hope to hear something from my doctor by the end of the week. Tomorrow I see the Nurse Practioner at my regular doctors office and will have lab work. I guess those results will set up another appointment with my oncologist but when. Easy to cancel the camp ground except we are the co hosts and have all the supplies here at home. Coffee pots, etc. I will arrange by the week end to meet the other couple and give the boxes to them just in case we don't make it. It would be nice to get away and get something else on my mind.
