yes my bed is warm.
It is the fibromyalgia that makes me not be able to sleep.
My sleeping pattern is even with taking 2 sleeping meds each night...oh well. it is what it is.
I'm sorry your numbers were up. That is not good. I imagine you are right, and they will give you both bags this time.
I just noticed that it is already getting dark outside. I have really been busy since I awakened. I slept very late this morning and my whole day seems to be rushing. That is all okay by me. The house is much warmer since the cold snap broke and I am finally sleeping all night again. That is because once I get up in the morning I don't have to get back in bed to get warm again. It is just wonderful to be comfortable.
Jan, I am so sorry your TOPS group was so rude. When I compare your group to mine I am amazed at the difference. I truly wish you could be in my group. They are so supportive of me. I am by far the largest in our group having started at 335lbs. My last weigh-in I was down to, (I think)276 and that was a gain the day after Christmas. I am sure now that my weight has dropped considerably, but I couldn't get to the last meeting because of the snow.
I hope you are able to find another more supportive group immediately. Can your district coordinator offer some suggestions? You might want to ask. I know each group has its own personality no matter where you are or what is the club. I think you just got in the wrong group. That happens a lot. The change may even make it easier to get your weight down and your health up.
I need to get busy with cooking dinner for tonight. What I cook depends on the temperature downstairs. If it is moderately warm I'll fix a meatloaf. I've been hungry for that for some time. I do have all the ingredients in the house.
Good Afternoon. I'm just back from CVS Pharmacy and the doctors office didn't reorder my Metformin. I still have enough for a couple of days. Jan I take 500 mg twice a day. One with breakfast and one with supper. Dr. asked me if I notice the fluid going down in my stomach but to me it is about the same. Maybe it keeps it down as I don't have to go to the bathroom every 2 hours and I only get up at night once.
Jan, maybe the people were clapping that the co leader was taking over when you resigned. You're right though at least they could have thanked you for taking the job to begin with. Wait a few weeks and see how it goes for the new leader. She may have her problems as you did. I would be looking around for a new group though.
I have been asking forever for a tennis ball to hang down from the garage ceiling to make it easier to know when to stop the car so the garage door will shut. DH just told me he hung a string so now I have to go supervise where the ball will hit the windshield.
Mission accomplished. Now I'll probably have to put up with him when the car is out of the garage and he walks into the hanging tennis ball. For Christmas I gave DH a package of 3 tennis balls. The kids wanted to know if we were going to take up tennis. Two of the balls will go in the motor home. When the motor home is parked for any length of time we put a tennis ball under each wind shield wiper to keep them off the hot windshield. The ones that are under the blades right now are pretty shot. Some times our kids think we're nuts.
Patty, what are we going to do with you so you get some sleep. I know my DIL is not a good night sleeper but sometimes I think she sabotages herself. Like drinking tea or coffee late in the evening and they don't drink decaf. They have their supper late like 8 p.m. Do you get into a warm bed. I always turn the electric blanket on before I go to bed to warm it up and then I turn it down to sleep as low as it will go. We do like to sleep in a cold room. Keep a journal of your worries so you have them down on paper and you don't have to think about them when you are trying to sleep. Try an Advil AM/PM or even a Bendryl tablet. Always try to go to bed at the same time too.
I finally got my new cancer marker numbers and they were not good. Instead of going down as they have for the past 10 months they went up 4,000 points. I guess the last chemo with just one bag didn't work. I was to only get one bag this Thur. but I bet after the NP talks to the doctor I'll probably get 2 bags. I don't care just as long as the process is going down.

I am so sorry for what happened to you at the meeting...is there another tops group close to you?
Maybe if not, you could start one...
ok, nothing much else to report.
Hubby is checking the chimney.
He does it periodically throughout the winter, to make sure no creosote builds up. So far so good.
have a good day.

Good morning Patty & everyone,
I am so glad to say I finally feel better today for the first time in quite awhile. Yesterday I called my doctor's office and they had me come in and she lowered the dose on my Metformin. The other good news is she is happy with my blood sugar numbers and that I lost weight even over Christmas. For quite some weeks I've felt like on the verge of car sickness (nausea) constantly and that kept me glued to my chair where I felt somewhat better. So this morning I was able to sweep, mop, clean the bathroom and the kitchen is next. Also got the laundry going.
We are in rain mode again until Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday when we expect snow. Bring out the sugar-free Swiss Miss!
I told you I resigned as TOPS leader because of my health issues. I knew when my a1c went out of whack the stress of it all was a huge factor. Last Wednesday the CoLeader ran the meeting and announced I had resigned and she was leading. I'll tell you I felt like chopped liver when everyone clapped. There was no "thank you" or anything. The rest of that story is there was a small group (6) who made it their job to be contrary to everything I did. It was obvious on Wednesday that those who refused to be a monthly weight buddy or do other things suddenly were overjoyed to participate. Yes, it hurt my feelings bad. That was not the majority of the group and I tried my best as leader to consider the needs of the majority, not a disgruntled few - but it got me in the end. I do not regret my decision to do what I was told the leader needs to do but I feel bad that the "bully bunch" won. It is most likely I will eventually be leaving that group.
Patty, I will definitely pray for better sleep for you. I was also not sleeping well but I think that was stress-related and I'm working on that.

Need to leave soon, as we are going to town as soon as I get ready.
Haven't been sleeping much lately, since a couple of weeks before Christmas.
Maybe you could pray for me to sleep better. I would appreciate it.
