Good Afternoon. I'm just back from CVS Pharmacy and the doctors office didn't reorder my Metformin. I still have enough for a couple of days. Jan I take 500 mg twice a day. One with breakfast and one with supper. Dr. asked me if I notice the fluid going down in my stomach but to me it is about the same. Maybe it keeps it down as I don't have to go to the bathroom every 2 hours and I only get up at night once.
Jan, maybe the people were clapping that the co leader was taking over when you resigned. You're right though at least they could have thanked you for taking the job to begin with. Wait a few weeks and see how it goes for the new leader. She may have her problems as you did. I would be looking around for a new group though.
I have been asking forever for a tennis ball to hang down from the garage ceiling to make it easier to know when to stop the car so the garage door will shut. DH just told me he hung a string so now I have to go supervise where the ball will hit the windshield.
Mission accomplished. Now I'll probably have to put up with him when the car is out of the garage and he walks into the hanging tennis ball. For Christmas I gave DH a package of 3 tennis balls. The kids wanted to know if we were going to take up tennis. Two of the balls will go in the motor home. When the motor home is parked for any length of time we put a tennis ball under each wind shield wiper to keep them off the hot windshield. The ones that are under the blades right now are pretty shot. Some times our kids think we're nuts.
Patty, what are we going to do with you so you get some sleep. I know my DIL is not a good night sleeper but sometimes I think she sabotages herself. Like drinking tea or coffee late in the evening and they don't drink decaf. They have their supper late like 8 p.m. Do you get into a warm bed. I always turn the electric blanket on before I go to bed to warm it up and then I turn it down to sleep as low as it will go. We do like to sleep in a cold room. Keep a journal of your worries so you have them down on paper and you don't have to think about them when you are trying to sleep. Try an Advil AM/PM or even a Bendryl tablet. Always try to go to bed at the same time too.
I finally got my new cancer marker numbers and they were not good. Instead of going down as they have for the past 10 months they went up 4,000 points. I guess the last chemo with just one bag didn't work. I was to only get one bag this Thur. but I bet after the NP talks to the doctor I'll probably get 2 bags. I don't care just as long as the process is going down.
