Back from the doctors. Waited in the little room about 45 min and saw her for about 3 min. Chemo set up for next week and see you in another four weeks. My cancer marker tests had not come back from the lab.

Thank you for the suggestions. I am a former social services worker. I was the Homeless Coordinator for a county in this state. I have called all the resources I know or have been given and so far no results.
I am trying to work with my roommate to get heat in the house, and I think that will happen in the immediate future.
I have tried to get in touch with the Housing Authority, but they have a recording on their phones, probably to screen calls such as mine they can't handle all of them. However, I have not gotten any calls back. I do find that unacceptable.
I thank you for your patience listing to my list of woes and for considering possible options. That kind of help is without doubt the most valuable gift to be given.
Good Morning All.
Great idea Patty for Judy to make some phone calls to get some help with the plowing and even grocery shopping. I'd also let your DD know you are snowed in and maybe she can put some pressure on the apartment building to bump you up for a vacancy.
I'm on line early to pay some bills. I have a Dr. app't this afternoon.

Morning Judy and girls,
Judy, how about calling your local commission on ageing, or social services. They may be able to help you get some fuel, or else get someone to plow at least a one way on your road.
Tell them you are a senior citizen without heat, and I think someone will be able to help you.
ok girls, how was yesterday. I'm not going to let you off the hook, just cause Judy started the post this early morning...lol
did you drink your water?
did you move?
did you stick to your lifestyle food plan?
Let/s make today a healthy day.
lunch at senior center
then pick up 87 year old cousin to take to the store for visiting and coffee.
have a good day girls.
It is now about 4:00AM and I have been up for about two hours. This chilly house causes me to return to bed for warmth after about four hours of being up and around. The temperature outside is currently 23 degrees and I can hear a wind blowing. I talked with my roommate last evening and we agreed that I would purchase two more radiators for the house. That should warm things up a bit for me. I am getting tired of blue fingers. When I cook I have to stop fairly regularly to warm my hands. It will be nice to be warm again.
This cold is wrecking havoc with my sleep schedule. I have an electric mattress pad and I can climb into bed to get warm. I use that time in bed to read and since reading is my method for slowing down to fall asleep, guess what happens. I will sleep for four or five hours and then all nice and warm I'll get up to work around the house or play on my computer.
There is one real advantage to this weird schedule and to the root cause of it. I am not spending a whole lot of time in the kitchen and am eating considerably less. The menus have changed too. I can't get out of the house so I've completely run out of fresh produce. Well, I have one apple left and I'll eat that today and tomorrow. Getting enough vegetables is becoming quite a challenge, but I like challenges.
I just copied one of the blogs for today, "10 Tips to Lose 10 Pounds." The article is very inspiring and the comments from SparkMembers are great. I especially liked this particular blog and now have it where I can refer back to it as needed.
My BS is staying stable around the high eighties to high nineties. Considering the way i've been living and eating recently I am doing fairly well. I hope I am losing some pounds. I wanted very much to weigh in yesterday at TOPS but I couldn't get out to my car to go to the meeting. It is supposed to snow yet again today. Why did I choose to live up here in the boonies?
That is enough for the time being. I'll probably talk with you again later.
