I was up earlier than usual this morning since DH had a driving job and I had a medical appointment. I had a good, informative hour with the Diabetes Education nurse. Then took my son grocery shopping and also a trip to Costco for cat food or I would have had a feline revolt tomorrow morning.
Judy, That's a tough situation but it sounds like you've made a wise choice to move on. There comes times when you can no longer help the person you're trying to be a friend to and it's okay to give yourself permission to release yourself from your pact. I'm glad you have good things to aim for in the future. I hope that apartment becomes available and the move goes well.
Patty, I'm sorry to hear your winter woods walks will have to end for awhile.
Glenna, Thank you for keeping us all posted on Sarah. I miss her and hope all is going well with her healing.
Ann, I hope all came together with the lab and CT.

Patty, I didn't ask, but I assume that is what they are shooting for. I know she said something about physical therapy after she gets home. So I am hoping and praying that she will be up and about. Glenna
I just got in from my walk in the woods. There is about 4 to 6 inches of snow on the ground, and when I walked in my steps from the previous lap around, it was a bit slippery. So unless this snow melts, and I sort of doubt that it will, today will be my last walk until spring on my paths through the woods. I will surely miss my woodsy walks.
Now it will be either inside walking, Leslie walks or sidewalk walks.
Judy, what a dilemma you have. I think the change will be good for you. As we get older we do need to be nearer family and doctors etc. I know you will miss the mountain area but no more long drives into the city. I'm sure Vancouver will have lots more to offer a very talented lady. Your housemate and freeloader are going to have a difficult time, I just bet. I hope you find an apartment very soon.
Glenna, so glad you keep in touch with Sarah. I bet this rehab place where Sarah is, is really going to get her moving and getting her continued help that she probably hasn't hd for a while.
I'm waiting for the doctors office to start taking phone calls at 9 a.m. They were to email me papers for lab work so I could get that done after I have the CT scan this afternoon. I'm now on 4 hours of no food or drink. I did have some cereal so I don't think my tummy will growl.

Patty, No, Sarah doesn't have her computer. I asked her about that yesterday. She said she didn't really feel like working on it anyway. I think it tires her out to do the walking. But it is so wonderful that they are helping her to walk.
