The group had their breakfast and then at 10:00 was our meeting. I was so glad they discussed making our camp outs easier on the volunteer couple in charge. I think we will do more pot lucks and less prepared meals in the future. Probably throw in a dinner out too. I'm hoping the couple I'm helping in January might agree to cancel one dinner we had planned and eat out. We have a meeting room and the use of the kitchen in another part of the building so would have to cart stuff back and forth. Not impossible but a pain.
At 1 p.m. a bunch of us are going to play dominoes again. Catered dinner tonight by the one little cafe in town. Our outside thermometer says it is 90 out side. I did bring summer capries that I changed into after the meeting.

Good early morning Ann, and all who follow, Ann, we pay $3 per meal. If you are not over 60, it is $7.50, as we have a restaurant right next door, so they keep the costs high for those youngsters, to keep pace with the restaurant. Not many under 60 come there. Sounds like you have fun on your rallys.
We like it, and have met some new friends there. Neither hu bby nor I are very social. So this is a super way to have your cake and eat it too...lol have friends, meet and eat and visit, then go home...works great for us.
They are going to change the knitting class from Monday, when my knitting buddy can't come, to Wed. So that will work out just great for our 3 person knitting group. It is for loom knitters and crocheters also. Maybe soon, there will be more coming in to join our little group. It's only for about an hour and a half.
I had forgotten that I pick up my 87 year old cousin yesterday. Thankfully, I remembered. We went to the store, had coffee and visited. Then a bit of shopping. I needed cool whip free, so got that.
Daughter and her friend are coming over this afternoon after lunch. Her friend is getting married in March, and daughter is standing up with her. She needs me to take in her dress and shorten it up a bit. I think today, I will just check it out to make sure that I can do this. Then maybe the first of March, do the stitching. She may change shape between now and then.
ok, how was yesterday?
did you move? yes, 1/2 mile
did you drink your water? no
did you stick to your lifestyle food plan? yes :Let's make today a healthy day. Patty
I might as well start the Friday thread as it is Friday on the east coast and I know most of you won't go back and read Thursday news again.
We got to the desert camp ground just before 1 p.m. Left home a little after 10 a.m. No sun until we got up in elevation and nice and warm when we arrived. We stopped at the very large parking lot to check in and DH was in the bathroom and I looked up and we are rolling. I quickly got up and put my foot on the brake and the jerk startled DH. He forgot to put the emergency brake on. Good thing I was already out of my seat belt. We had 32 for our appetizer supper and plenty of food. One more rig coming in tomorrow and another couple will be here that will stay in a motel down the road.
After dinner we had two games of Mexican Train Dominoes going. One table of ladies and one table of men. Neither DH or I won. It is very nice and balmy outside at 62 degrees. I'm sure it will cool down as the night continues. DH went out and sat around a propane fire for a little while. I washed the dishes that my appetizers were on and packed them to go home. Breakfast at 8:30. I don't think I will make it.
Patty, I saw on the bulletin board when we check in the senior center here serves lunch M - F and it looked pretty good. $5.25 per person. I thought that was a little high for a community such as this is. Out in the middle of no where and plenty of retired people and others that must be low income as there is little place for employment here except for yard work and maids in a couple of motels.
