Are there any "side" dishes for Thanksgiving? Everything is a favorite with me.
Seriously my favorite Thanksgiving dish is leftovers, especially when they last for the next whole week. I think I love those far more than the Thanksgiving dinner itself. I guess I am strange. But the flavors mellow and develop as time passes and the atmosphere is way more relaxed so I can really enjoy what I am eating. Yep! Leftovers have to be my very favorite "side".

I love mashed potatoes & gravy but also love a recipe I have for fresh yams peeled and sliced and baked in an orange sauce. I could lighten that using Splenda but need to figure out if the carbs are worth it. Sarah I love a thin slice of cranberry sauce on a turkey sandwich. I missed going to the Cranberrian Festival over on the Washington peninsula this year. I love seeing the cranberry bogs and all the neat cranberry themed things.
