Good Morning All, Just back from WalMart where I stocked up on yarn. I had a $25.00 gift card from a win at the Oct. Rally so used that plus some more cash. They were well stocked and had lots of new verigated colors. Biggest problem I had was to find solid colors that matched the verigated. This will keep my fingers busy for a while.
I also bought a sheet of heavy white paper. I think I'll get ambitious and make some snowmen nut cups I've made in the past especially when GS was in kindergarten and first grade. I'll take some to our end of Nov. luncheon and if I get really ambitious to the Dec. campout. I will check with the host couple to see if they object. They generally only decorate the table for the Sat. night dinner and the snowmen could be for Thur. or Fri. night meal filled with nuts or candy. I think candy would be cheaper.
I asked DH last night what about Thanksgiving. The kids go to the desert for the long week end and I'm not interested in 'his' cooking a turkey for us. That means I get stuck with all the other dishes. I'd prefer to eat out if we could find a restaurant open that doesn't charge an arm or a leg in price. Today he told me he talked to DD and maybe they could come over Wed. night for T day supper. I told DH have fun cooking it. He who only makes breakfast. One year I assiged DD potatoes and as we are carving the turkey no potaotes. I should have made them eat instant potatoes. I have a feeling DS will want to leave for the desert as early as they can on Wed. night. I hope I hope.
