I have spent the better part of the day in the doctors office. My app't was a 1 p.m. and I got there at least 15 min. early. Quite a few also waiting but there are three doctors in there if they all are in. It was forever before I was put in a room and then I waited another forever. Glad I took my solitare game with me. When my Dr. came in she said I was doing very well and listened to my heart front and back. Asked if I thought my stomach had gone done and yes, I think it has. Then she said since we don't have the cancer markers back yet I'll schedule you for another chemo next Friday. The girls will have a schedule for you. That was it. Probably took about 2 min. When I got back in the car where there was a clock it was 2:30.
DH has taken the three to the air port while I was gone. GS have a base ball tournament this week end in Las Vegas.
I went back to the commissary as it wasn't much off my route on the way home. They had butternut squash marked down Monday but they were out. Today they had about 8 and I bought four. Also picked up a couple of other items. Was in an out really quick.
Patty, I'm so glad your DD is doing fine. I know that takes a load off your mind.
Brrrrrrrr Jan, and DH was complaining how cold it was here when he got up this morning. It was 50.
We have the Santa Ana winds and heat coming in. Probably won't get terribly hot as late in the season as it is but the winds are not good news. Everything is so dry they will be a fire hazard.
Brrr, it's cold this morning. 37 degrees. The furnace has been humming away. DS tells me he is using the electric heater in his room again and his cat loves laying in front of it. We've had a lot of rain as well but today is supposed to be clear. It's still dark so I haven't been able to see what's happening yet. We hope to walk outside.
Yesterday was so nice. TOPS day. Two of us had birthdays yesterday so some of our members brought two pineapples and put birthday candles in them and presented them to us while everyone sang happy birthday. Good meeting and great program about TOPS 10 super foods and also having an attitude of gratitude. After the meeting 7 of us went to lunch and had such a good time visiting.
When I got home my oldest son (unemployed, no money) was out in the woods hunting for chanterelles. Mushrooms usually pop up a couple of weeks after the first rains but this year is really different. Actually, each year is different. So no chanterelles but when they do come up he will prepare some for me.
The rest of the day DH and I just relaxed and watched several of a BBC series (new to us) Rosemary & Thyme which we are really enjoying.
Yesterday was a splurge (foodwise). Today it's back on the wagon
