(((Patty))) It's such a hard time when we see loved ones go. The comfort is going home to the Lord. Still - so difficult to see one you love so fragile and vulnerable. You are in my prayers.
It is beautiful and sunny here. Rain expected to come in Friday - the first in a long time.
Yesterday I went out of town to TOPS Fall Rally and it was an inspiring time. A highlight for me was when our chapter's Busy Bee was announced (the chapter votes for who was particularly helpful in your group- only two of us knew who that was until it was announced). The look on her face was priceless. On the drive to rally she told me she thought she knew who it was and I knew she never would have said that if she realized it was her! That is even one of the big highlights of this year for me. Some folks make a big fanfare for themselves over doing one thing. This gal just quietly is helping, doing whatever is needed, all year long.
Well, some of you are still too warm and some are getting cold. It will be interesting to see how October proceeds for us. Can't remember if I told you it was Blazing Glory Chili I made (not Jackpot) and we really like it. I've got some frozen for future meals. The Impossible Apple Pie is wonderful and I'll make more.

I just got home from the nursing home.
They expect in the next few days, that Mom will go home to be with the Lord.
She has been moved to the Serenity room, which is like a suite. Two pull outs for sleeping, a frig and stove, and a huge bathroom.
I think Sis is coming down again tomorrow, and will probably stay until Mom is gone.
My son came over this afternoon with his new family, (the wedding we went to just recently,)
and he broke down before he left. Had a hard time getting control of himself.
This is such a terrible time. Mom is not waking up at all anymore, in a comatose state.
Thank you for your prayers.
High humidity today and almost 90 degrees. Fall will get here sooner rather than later I hope.
I've kept myself busy today but now I'm winding down. I want to do some crocheting in a bit.
Hope you are enjoying your Sunday.

Sorry ladies for the colder weather. I don't miss that at all. The paper weather page says we might hae showers this week starting on Tues. I won't hold my breath. Tues. is the day the fellow is coming to wash and wax our motor home. Thank goodness DH doesn't try to do that any more.
I did sleep good last night after not much the night before. I finished one smaller book and probably will start another today. DH has one of the lingering cough cough colds or is it allergies. They both act the same on him. I have tried my best to stay away from his germs.

yes, your weather sounds like ours today...
wood stove is nice and toasty.
Good morning Patty, Is it still cold where you are at? It was 35 last night when I looked. Then it clouded up during the night and warmed up to 40 this morning. It is cloudy and drizzly today. Said we might see a snowflake or two! Then supposed to have a frost/freeze tonight and warm back up during the week.
I moved yesterday and probably stayed pretty much in my calorie range. I haven't totaled it up yet. Yesterday was kinda hectic and crazy. I always have a problem getting all my water in.
Hope everyone has a good sunday!
Good morning Friends,
How was your yesterday?
did you move?
did you drink your water?
did you stick to your diet?
Let's make today a healthy day.
