Today was one of those fortuitous days when everything came together smoothly. A neighbor took me to the groomer so Gidget and her dog both got groomed. We got home just in time for another neighbor to take me to Packwood, (across a low pass) to pick up the Roma tomatoes I'd ordered. I also picked up four peaches to try a new kind and mine was wonderful.
I got home and had four trays in the dehydrator when the mechanic arrived with the part that was needed and now my car is fixed, the dehydrator is full the dog is groomed and we had Jambalaya for dinner with both sausage and shrimp. That takes care of the left over shrimp from the frig. I'd say this has been a good day.
Ann it is great that the cancer markers are down! What wonderful news! Sounds like it wasn't your day to go shopping. Some days just aren't productive shopping days.
P atty I hope the visit is going great. Relax and enjoy!
Water--yes Food--yes Moving--a little
I have got to get my moving in gear. I can't get my motivation going. I know part of it is the depression thing.
Judy glad to hear your eye surgery went well. I don't recall a strawberry apple offhand. There are so many different kind these days.
Jan there is no way I'd pick mushrooms. I always think of the Clint Eastwood movie were he was a Confederate soldier. He stopped at a girl's school to recover and one jealous girl served him bad mushrooms. That's what I think of when mushroom picking is mentioned.
I am fixing the Puerto Rican beans today. I haven't fixed them in a long time so they sounded good.
Hope today is a good one! Enjoy

The morning started cloudy but burned off to afternoon sunshine. I was about ready to go outside to do some pruning or painting when a friend called and needed someone to go with her to see a denturist in a nearby town so that is what I did instead. We both had a punch card filled from a local restaurant so we had breakfast/lunch and a good visit.
Ann, I'm so glad you had a good report from the N.P. Such an improvement in your numbers!
It would be a good time to go out to do what I was set out to do earlier but a nap sounds better.
Since Patty is off visiting family I will get todays post started.
I had very good news last night. The results of my cancer markers hadn't come in to the Dr. office yesterday and I was to call this afternoon for the results. Well, last night about 6:30 the N P called that she was on the computer and saw that they had come in. My new number is 4,766. That is down 3,944 from last month. So good since I started out with 36,000 in March.
Jan, I have no idea what will happen after the 8th chemo next Fri. I could start another rotation of 4 treaments or maybe if the tumor has shrunk as much as the doctor wants, i might have surgery. I would also expect to have chemo after surgery as most of the woman that are getting chemo now have already had surgery. One lady was coming in for chemo every week. She wasn't there as long as I am and she said her next weekly treatment would be her last. She and her DH wondered what they would do with a free Friday. I sure hope they celebrate.
This morning I went to Kohl's with a 30% off purchase coupon and another $10.00 off purchase. I had a few things on my list to look for but left empty handed. Then to Costco where I had 6 things on my list and only came home with 3. They didn't have the spinach apple salad I had seen there before. I wanted to see how much their Honey Crisp apples were and they all all kinds but none of them.
I should have looked for somthing at Kohl's to use for a Christmas gift exchange our RV cllub but didn't think about it. Maybe I'll make another trip before the coupons expire.
