Ann, It's really important to NOT pick anything you don't know for sure is edible. Didn't see a thing today but that wasn't surprising since it hasn't rained for quite a bit. Hate to say we're waiting for rain - but it's sure to come and with it the mushrooms.
What fun going through your clothes. Koret had so many cute clothes.
I love the lightly battered halibut from Costco.
After your 8th chemo session, do you know how many more to expect or do they make that decision as you go?
Well, we walked for an hour and I should have brought an energy bar because I started feeling weary. So we headed for Costco and indulged in a hotdog & Diet soda. Sure tasted good.

Judy, I don't remember any apples either like you described. Glad your eye surgery went well. DH has finished his but still using drops in one eye. I don't remember having to use them so long.
Jan, my DIL use to go mushroom hunting. I'd probably pick the wrong kind and poisen us.
Patty, you certainly have a full couple of days with family. I know you will enjoy the get together.
Yesterday I went through my box of smaller jeans. I tried on over 20 pair from size 16W 18W, 18 regular, and 20W. The 16 W and the 18 fit pretty good. Some of these jeans are light weight and some are heavier. I'm not getting rid of any of them as most are Koret brand and they don't make the W sizes any more. All are pull ons.
Last night I fixed lightly batter Halibut from Costco, with sweet potato puffs, corn and cold slaw. tonight I'm cleaning out the refrig and stir frying chicken and vegetables.
This afternoon I have a Dr. app't at the chemo clinic. I hope the lab work is good enough that I can get a flu shot in the next few days before I have chemo again. This will be my 8th chemo session. I wonder what will be next.

I'm enjoying my quiet morning coffee. Oatmeal is ready to go as soon as DH gets up.
It's cloudy/foggy this morning but going to be another nice day and I'm thinking about walking out at the state park and looking for signs of the first mushrooms popping up. It's probably early but fun to look anyway.
Judy, I've never heard of strawberry apples. I do remember some apple trees in a small orchard Mom and Dad had and probably going through the orchard to get down the hill to grandma's when we noticed apples still on the tree so we ate one. There had been a frost or something and the apple tasted more like apple cider. Glad your eye surgery went well.
Patty, Have a good time visiting with Sis and your other family.

A fun filled 2 days ahead of me.
Sis is coming down this morning.
We will go to lunch,
go pick up 87 year old cousin,
go visit with mom,
go to store for chatting, coffee and shopping.
then come back to Mom's and visit with Sis.
Another cousin, this one, about 62, from downstate, is coming up to stay with sis at Mom's for a couple of days. She wants to see Mom.
So tomorrow, my day will be visiting with sis and cousin, visiting with Mom, supper for them
I am making

brother and sis can bring something else if they want more, and they probably do, cause we usually have a spread...lol
