I think I bought figs once in my life and they had dark skins. My friend's figs have green skin and we just ate the whole thing like a fruit and they were very good. I need to look and see how they add up calorie wise.
That is great the housing market is good where you are. Here it seems like there are several houses for sale on every block and largely things aren't moving.

Hi Jan, I think the house for sale will get sold pretty quickly. They haven't stayed on the market long here in spite of the down turn. That house added a second story over part of it so there should be two extra bedrooms up there. These houses were built in the late 50's or early 60's. We are less than a mile to one freeway that connects to two others. It takes about 20 min. to get down town and about that long to get to the beach. Schools are all within walking distance and plenty of shopping without having to go far. Our road that enters the subdivision is a dead end so not a whole lot of traffic. The only bad part of that house is the neighbor on the other side. (not near us) Quite a few of their kids still live there with grand kids and they don't take care of the house and yard too well. It is better than it use to be.
What are you going to do with the figs. Not a fruit I ever cared for.

It's a quiet day here after Sunday School and church. It was nice to come home to leftovers of Savory Meat Pie. Now I need to decide what to cook next.

Louise, Enjoy your water walking. Does your pool have a current? I used to do that. When you get stronger you can walk against the current so it takes more muscle and effort.
Sarah, Cooking spurts keep us going. Someone at church gave us 5 figs. What a treat!
Ann, Surely soon the warm spell will just be a memory. I hope your neighbors are able to sell if they need/want to and you get good new neighbors.

Sarah, it is too hot today to turn on the oven. I was glad DH ate cold cereal instead of fixing himself biscuits and gravy.
Louise, on another Spark Team web page there is a lady that teaches classes in pool walking. I want to say the name is Tiger River but can't remember for sure. Seems like the flow of the water can be adjusted so the pool walking is easy or harder going against the 'tide'. i've never heard of it before but she was saying that she had a beginner lady coming to a more advanced class and it was not working out for the advanced walkers. It does sound interesting.
Not much going on here. GS has a baseball game this afternoon about the time we go out for dinner so I'm not sure what DH is going to do. In my opinion it is too hot to sit at a ball game for DH. and too hot for the kids to play as this park in inland and even hotter than it is here at the house.
DH said the house around the corner that is for sale is having an open house today. They share the side of our back yard. I understand from a neighbor that they want to sell and move back to Wa. state. Not sure if they have family there or not.

How is your Sunday going? Quiet here. Doing dribs and drabs of cooking. Tuna Krispie Bake, green beans steamed with little potatoes on top, brewed tea, made jell-o and debating to make coffeecake. I get cooking spurts occasionally. Not often.
