Good Sunday afternoon,
Today started out cloudy but soon burned off to sunshine. It's now 71 at almost 5 PM.
I made Pannukakku (Finnish pancake) for breakfast. Last night I was concerned because we ran out of 2% and the original recipe called for half and half as well. In the night I came up with the idea to use nonfat milk to stir the flour into a thin batter and then to use canned skim milk for the other part of the batter. It turned out very good and a lot better calorie-wise.
DH & I went to Sunday School and church. One of the ladies there, who is older than me, told me she climbed Saddle Mountain yesterday. Wow! That climb takes several hours. She said she was sore and probably won't repeat that climb.
I grilled some chicken for lunch and had some steamed vegetable (broccoli and cauliflower) and some pickled beets and some potatoes from our garden.
We watched a movie our youngest son brought down and he left soon after that. He works a really early morning shift so likes to be home and asleep by 7:30 or 8.
DH & DS slaved over trying to get that new door hung but ended up putting the old door back and will give it a shot another time. The problem was getting the hinges just right and they had to chink some wood away to put the hinge but it needs more work. The doors look great freshly painted and some day soon they will be installed.

It doesn't take much to get me tickled around here.
This morning, I heard hubby cutting wood, then bringing it around to be stacked.
I quickly hopped out there, well not hopped exactly, but went out there, and got all that wood stacked. Hubby was none the wiser. He had come in the house to watch a bit of tv, and rest from splitting all that wood. As he was going back outside, he says, I have some wood out there for you to stack...I said no you don't...he was astonished that I did it that fast, and without him nowing. I got a great big grin on my face...see, it does not take much to get me tickled...lol
brrr this morning,
It is 60 outside, 66 inside, and supposed to be 78 outside later today, so we can not have the wood stove going, it will make it too hot in here.
So hubby turned on the electric heater. I am trying to not use the furnace at all, and see if we can go a year on 1 fill up. Water heater and kitchen stove are propane. It should work, right? Time will tell.

by the way, the pink shirt was just a tad too big, like half a size, so will wear it as it is until I lose more weight, then will take it in later...still haven't tried on those 2 new pair of pants to see if they fit. I am definately in a 20 size for most pants, down from a tight 26, so have gone down 3 sizes in 4 years...sooooooooooooo slow...I am on another plateau. I guess I need to tighten up my diet a bit, and see if that would help to lose faster. I want this weight gone, like now...

Hubby bought a pizza last night, and had it for supper, me I had most of a mushroom omelet, so will have the rest of that for breakfast. Hubby will probably finish off the pizza today, and we also have a white castle hamburger casserole in there for supper. Probaby tuna salad for lunch.
ok, now I am really done...
