Judy and Patty, thanks for the info on senior care. DS and DIL have done a lot of work scouting resources for her dad but I know they have not dealt with this before and I have reminded them of services I've heard about. They do appreciate it.
I don't think it's going to be very difficult to get DH to think about air conditioning after this week end. He brought the motor home to the house thinking at night there would be enough power grid to run one air conditioner in it and he could sleep out there. I didn't know he planned to sleep in the motor home until I went to bed and no DH. That was Sat. night which actually wasn't as hot as Friday night was. DH said he didn't sleep Friday night at all. And was pretty grumpy yesterday. I asked him what he was mad about and he said he was just tired. I didn't press the issue but he decided to take the motor home back to storage. Last night was cooler but DH went to bed really early and put a fan in the door way to cool the room. My instructions were to move it when I went to bed.
Then #1DS sent us both an ad for a portable air conditioner he had purchased at Lowe's for a time they had visited GD in Fl. He said it worked great. Now if DS suggest something, dad listens. I'm still not sure about the hose connections to the windows but we will give it a try.
This week is suppose to be a little cooler or maybe the humidity is going to be less.
Where's Louise. I hope she didn't get upset because I asked that she make more paragraphs to make her posts easier to read for these old eyes. DH gets his second cataract removed on Wed. I wish I could have mine done but Dr. says no while I'm getting chemo.
I should grocery shop today but I wanted DH to take the car instead of riding the bus as he has to walk about a mile to get the bus to the beach. His choice. I rather he didn't walk in the hot weather. But he didn't take the car. I'll call him around 1 and see if I can't pick him up.
It is another very mild day today - a high of 82 and sunny today. Love it, especially after the triple digit month and a half. Things are busy around here as I get ready to begin classes again in 2 weeks. Immigration Law this time around. Add that to working full time, running my photography and arts business and teaching 2 hours a week and carving out ME time will be exceedingly important for my sanity.
Today will be a busy one: work, art journaling, working on my book, preparing prints for an October show and uploading more work around my sites. What are you up to today?
YESTERDAY: did you move? yes, 3 miles
did you drink your water? yes
did you stick to your diet? yes
You can't punish yourself into change. You can't whip yourself into shape. But you can love yourself into well-being. - Susan Sky
