Patty nice that you and your sister have a ring of your DM. I have two that belonged to my mother but not sure I have her wedding ring. Maybe it is in one of the boxes that are in our safe deposit box. DM and DD worked for a tool company that used diamonds in their cutting tools. The company would send a buyer to S. America to buy the diamonds. In the later years when DM and DD had more money they had the buyer get them a diamond that mother had set in a ring. Then a few years after that they had him bring back an acquamarine stone that is my birth stone. It is large and that was set in a ring too. Now I have them and since I don't wear jewelry they have been put away. I'm not sure what to do with them. I've thought of giving the acquamarine to GD and then if GS ever gets engaged he could have the diamond..
The temp on the computer says it is 72 degrees but that is probably down town as our thermometer says 82 and to me it is hot. DH had cleaned up and brought two fans in the house and I do have one going in the living room. This room is cooler where the computer is.
DH has gone on an errand for DS and I hope he is back by 1 p.m. We have a Sears repair man coming to check our stove. The oven makes the strangest noises and take twice as long as I think it did a month ago to bring it up to temperature. It is a gas stove.
Good morning Team HE Went to pick up Mom's rings Wed. Did I already tell you this? She had taken them off in the nursing home. So they put them in the safe. One goes to me, one to my sister. I am keeping the wedding ring, and sis gets the engagement ring. I am married, she is not, so it makes sense to me to keep the wedding ring. We needed to get them seperated, as they were welded together. So now I have a wedding band, with 4 tiny diamond chips, and sis has the engagement ring with 2 larger diamonds...I love this ring. so dainty and special.
I took the 6 capelets or sleeveless bed jackets to the nursing home. They really liked them. I need to probably rest my hands again today. It will be hard, we shall see.
