My Costco carries the sausage you like, plus several more. I got a package of Chicken sausage with Artichoke hearts, mozzarella and garlic. Its great. Stores in the Kroger chain also carry these sausages. They have fresh ones with the apples in them and they carry Aidells which are pre-cooked and come in several flavors.
Costco also had some interesting new mixes a couple that had Quinoa and rice, and another that was a mix of three beans, Mung beans and adzuki beans were two of the three beans. I bought both of these mixes and will let you know how good they are.
You can also find Hemp Hearts in Costco. They are delicious nutty little grains you can sprinkle in all sorts of places, your cereal for breakfast, In your yogurt. or in salad. Wherever you might like to add a nutty flavor. I really like them. The package tells me that a serving is 3 Tablespoons, but I haven't used that much at one time yet.
Patty we should rejoice in the days the Lord has given us! Thank you for the motivation each day!!
water--yes eating plan--not the best yesterday
moving--needs to improve
so yesterday wasn't my best day but I will continue to plug along.
I have some quinoa but keep forgetting to fix it.
My biggest issue right now is portion control. So hard. What are the problems you face losing weight? Sometimes I just feel like eating and not worrying about too many carbs, or thinking the day through so everything is in balance. But this is what is important in getting to be healthy.
Off to make jello, brew tea and do some hand washing.
I love quinoa I use it in any recipe that calls for rice, I don't like rice, but love quinoa. I found it lately at my Sam's club too hopefully it's good. Just rinse well first to get the oil/that can be bitter off.
I love chicken/turkey sausage my favorite brand is Amy's they had it one summer at Costco then never again I wish they would come back with it, the kind with apple and cheese was my favorite!
Yesterday I went to Seattle for two doctor's appointments. My eyes were measured for cataract surgery. After that I stopped at Trader Joe's to pick up some juices and two boxes of heirloom mini tomatoes. The first box is for eating, the second is to harvest the seeds for planting. Does anyone know if drying those for seeds will damage the seeds?
The next stop on our, my son was with me, trek was at Uwajimaya. There we picked up several different rices for his special mix, some coconut milk and cream, some ground lamb and three samosas. Most interesting were the fruits I chose. I got Ugli fruit, dragonfruit, and a korean melon. I also picked up a can of banana flowers. Now I have to figure out what to do with banana flowers. Anyone got any ideas?
Our final stop was Costco. I wanted to get more hemp hearts. I loved the last bag I bought and don't want to run out. I found only one bag and snatched it up instantly. It wasn't even where it should have been. We also discovered several Quinoa and sprout grains. I got one bag of each kind and will experiment with them. They look very interesting.
I really love the chicken sausages I've been finding lately. I got two different kinds this trip. I hadn't tried this manufacturer previously so I picked up a package of Chicken, Artichoke hearts and Garlic sausages to try. I expect they will be very good since all the other sausages I've tried lately have been very tasty. Out of funds and on my way home now. I arrived at home at about ten PM. I was tired but very happy with my grocery shopping. I got lots of interesting stuff.
