It doesn't have a AC, and it's extremely hot...I'm trying to figure out if we should buy a ac for it or try to put a fan some where inside.... I haven't decided yet. lol And man is it hot out. But, if we can camp in the shade with a fan we will probably be ok.
It was a cool day here, cloudy and a bit of rain in the evening.
I love 4th of July. My best memory of it was a neighborhood picnic/potluck. I remember deviled eggs, kids able to stay up after dark and sparklers. I think of watermelon and corn on the cob. I love both!
Today I made two recipes from Marlene Koch's website. No-bake Red, White & Blue Cheesecake Cupcakes and Classic Creamy Coleslaw. I haven't tasted the cupcakes yet but they sure look good. I had some red/white/blue cupcake liners. The cupcake/cheesecake is of course white and you top it with a slice of strawberry (I used a raspberry) and then fresh blueberries.

Sarah, 4th of July would not be the same with out hot dogs, and maybe corn on the cob. I also am going to fix potato salad. No watermellon. I'm thinking of fixing a peach cobbler. Not with fresh peaches though. We don't get dessert very often here unless it is fruit or maybe ice cream. DH brought me a large DQ and I can make it last 4 - 5 days. Still have one day left on one.
I have some chicken tenders thawing that I am going to cook for a salad tomorrow night. I've also gotten some other odds and ends done today. Rehemmed a blouse that part of the hem was coming out. Sewed a button on another blouse, made some bran muffins and balanced the checking account stmt.
Patty, I'm sorry your mother has her up and down days. I guess that is normal for the disease.
Heather, what fun you are going to have getting the pop up ready for camping. I bet it is a little warm for that now. Does it have an air conditioner?

Among the blogs today there is an article on Title IX. Title IX had a tremendous effect on my life. It wasn't just about athletics. It covered education as well. It also made it possible for women to claim their mutual credit in a divorce and the reestablishment of the family. There are many other facets of the act of which I am not aware. That entitlement was a turning point for many. I am so glad it exists, may it continue for a long time.
It is hot hot hot and humid. 93 and humid...oh my
I am not going outside again today.
Got half a mile in, that is it so far. we shall seew
Mom not so good today. Did not know me at all, and was quite fearful today.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for her.
have a cool day girls.
Revving up to be a hot one today. Humid, humid, humid!! I'm praying all those people witthout electricity get some relief soon. I can't imagine the heat wave without electricity.
Are y'all ready for the 4th? Can you believe this year is half gone? Will you be watching the fireworks?
Patty I moved but my eating was off yesterday. Blech! I get part of it right but not all. I am going to have to get on the ball.
In this heat be sure to drink your water, need to stay hydrated.
No cooking today. Just need to set things right around here.
What's the first food you think about when you think of the 4th? I instantly think of watermelon.
Hope your day is a good one!
