It is a sunny day here today. The heat and humidity are revving up after Debby's departure. We had limbs down but no damage.
Patty the afghan is beautiful! Yes I ate on plan, could have moved more though. I need to get my game on with the moving. I did get a ton of water in too.
Ann so glad the MRI wasn't too bad. Was it slow? The open one I had was slower than moolasses in January. Then it made this ta ta ta ta racket the whole time. Plus the kid doing it looked 16. Anyway I'm glad that is behind you. The scarf knitting is really interesting. Hope your DH is doing good today.
Are y'all making plans for the 4th? The 4th is such a happy holiday, love the fireworks etc that comes with it. Will you be cooking out? Cookouts just seem to go with the 4th. Whatever you do, make it a safe holiday.
I'm off to do some odd jobs and catch up on more emails. Enjoy your day everyone!
Patty wants to know how yesterday was. Well I'm sure glad yesterday is over. And much happier that the MRI is over with. I even had to go through a metal detector to be sure I had no metal but that wouldn't have found Judy's credit cards. Who would have thought about that. Anyway I survived the MRI and didn't even take any anxiety pills that I had. It did take a long time though and the two bottles of drink I had to take so my stomach would light up wasn't very tasty at all. When we got home about 6 p.m. I wasn't even hungrey but did have a little chicken rice soup. I spent most of the evening running to the john.
This morning it was up early and go with DH for catract surgery. He had to be there at 8 a.m. and we were home at 11 a.m. so that wasn't so bad. I took the morning paper and my knitting and there were two other knitters there. One lady had the biggest skein of yarn I have ever seen and she was rolling it into a ball. She said she likes to knit from the ball rather than the middle of the skein. She knits baby blankets for the hospital. The other lady knits baby hats and they looked pretty simple. She was also knitting a scarf. Seems she met a lady that sends knit scarfs to maybe Africa where the students wear all white and the colored scarf brightens up they uniform. She said the lady even furnished the yarn. That is pretty cool.
The rest of the day I"m not doing anything except cooking supper.
