Seems like yesterday I was in the kitchen all day. My stew got a bit delayed because two of the four onions I had were spoiled and I had to wait for DH to come home in the afternoon with some from the grocery store. He had the car. I have five freezer meals in the the freezer.
Louise with her DD calling in she'd be late for work reminded me of my boss when I worked down town. He came in late most mornings. Always had an excuse. Most of the time it wasn't the traffic his excuses were more inventive than that. His shoe string broke. He got out of the house and his shoes didn't match. etc etc The best one I remember was when he couldn't come in because he couldn't get the car out of the garage because they were taring the drive behind his condo garage. When he was at work he spent most of his time on the phone setting up golf games.
Judy, do I recall that you were moving a few weeks ago?
Patty, good that your Dr. ordered all those tests for you. You'll be in tip top shape when you are through.
Tomorrow morning it's back to the lab. At least the bruise from last week has cleared up. I hope the news is we can move forward. The stand still is not fun.

So true Judy, thank goodness DH has had good bosses, his last one cried when he left, he only worked there 1 1/2 years, but the pay they were paying I don't know how they could expect him not to leave...(only slightly-very slightly over min wage, and he has me and three kids to support!) the boss said if he could raise his pay he would...but he was just a boss not in charge of the money (he worked for the department of transportation here). He just started working for a national trash company yesterday and so far this boss is really nice too, and my husband has been working for department of transportations (different states) for 15 years now, so this trash job is new but he has had a CDL for a while, and they said with his class of CDL he will move up quickly making even more money then he made as a electrician for the NYC Transit in NYC. Less dangerous too!
Employers are becoming more demanding lately. They want more production and want to pay less for your efforts. The current mentality is that the employer should reap all the benefits. There is no tolerance for the unexpected. My son has always planned so that he'd have extra time in case there was a traffic jam or he had car trouble. But, when his employers have a problem he is expected to compensate for their trouble. It isn't right, it isn't fair, but it IS.

Good Morning Patty and all who will follow. This is my second attempt at posting. I lost the first one. I guess it went to computer heaven somewhere!!! Patty, It is great that you were able to sleep 7 straight hours. I will pray that this continues for you. Today is starting off really strange for us. DD went to drive to work only to find that her battery has died. She called work up to tell them she will be late and the owner of the preschool was giving her an hard time. So DH got up and took her to work. He will get a new battery for her car. Actually, it is our car because her car DH has been driving. Her car tends to stall and DH is the only one who seems to be able to drive it. Anyway, when he puts in the new battery then I will drive it to her work and he will follow me so that I can ride home with him. I do not understand owners or bosses that do not understand things happen and when these things happen it is no one's fault. What if she got into an accident and got hurt, would they still have expected her to go into work? It is not like she caused the battery to die. It just happens. Because of the heat in the summer in Arizona car batteries die a lot! Oh well, such is life. Not sure what I will be doing for the rest of the day. Everyone, please have a Wonderful Tuesday!
Today I go to Seattle to see the doctor again. I also have a blood draw so I am fasting until I get that done. I don't mind fasting that much, well not when I have previously arranged for something to eat right after.
It is raining up here, how am I supposed to see Venus passing the sun? Drip, Drip on the roof. The evergreens surrounding the house catch the rain and then drip it off. I am so glad we invested in a really good roof about five years ago. It is nice to be dry.
