Judy, my pet project is my knitted caps. Every winter I have about 150 or more to donate to some charity. Busy fingers aren't feeding my face.

Hello Ann,

You've given me another neat idea. I know many seniors who would enjoy lap robes for their legs during the warmer months. A light weight throw would do the job. Thanks for the idea.

Love, Judy emoticon

Good Afternoon. Between DH and I we got the house lightly cleaned. Now he has gone to Costco for a few items.

Patty, I only remember the first two lines of the old man snoring. I don't think I ever hear the rest of it.

Judy, another great project is one our RV group does when they get together at rallies which means there are a lot of people there. Some will make these at home and bring them but we also have get togethers to make them. We get donations and someone with a connection will buy rolls of fleece in childrens prints. The fleece is cut into children size blanket squares. The edges are cut all around the four squares. I think the cuts are about 2 1/2" deep and 1" wide apart. Each cut is slip knotted. I'm sure you've seen these throws somewhere. It is not unusual for the group to have 1,000 or more to be given to some children's home, orphanage, hospital etc etc. The rallies are always in a different place so the blankets go to different towns all over the country. I don't think Patty saw your question but I know she donates her sweaters to a shop that does charity work.

It is raining softly here as well. We had a power outage last night for several hours. I don't have any idea what caused the outage, but we were fully prepared because some time ago Carol bought several stick-on LED lights and I put them all over the house and even saved a couple to carry around with us.

I made myself a sandwich after the lights went out and then went to bed. The lights came back on at one thirty this morning. I woke just enough to turn off my bedside lamp and turn on my bi-pap. I slept very well the rest of the night, waking this morning at about eleven.

I remember that song and many others from childhood. Of course, driving school bus kept many of them familiar to me. Recently I was singing, (unconsciously) "Whispering Hope" which I learned when I was in elementary school. We sang it in two parts way back then. I still love that song. Another one I recently brought to mind is "John Jacob Jingleheimer Smith" I sang that one to my caregiver while we were going to my doctor's appointment. She'd never heard it before.

I also told her about my mischievious streak. When I was at Camp Deertrails, Girl Scout Camp, I stole the counselor's Big Ben alarm clock. I put it on a board and put a metal dish pan on top. Then I threw the Triangle the counselors used to wake us every morning. I set that clock to go off at three in the morning. When it went off it woke the entire camp. What fun!!!

Did you ever commit such a prank? What was the outcome?

Love, Judy emoticon

Good morning,

Patty, yes I remember that one from childhood but also when my neice was a little girl she sang that when she heard Grandpa snoring- a funny memory.

Heather, we all know how easy it is to regain weight or get stalled and I wish you the best in your weight loss journey.

It is raining here, too, but gently. I'm still lagging a bit from that sleepless night.

Stayed on my food plan

Drank my water

No exercise.

I need to lose weight again, I've gained back too much weight, my clothes aren't fitting. UHG! I have to get moving again. I also have to start using Jo's recipes again!

So here I am....I'm working on the mastercook search engine again, doing February Newsletters..I posted the Jan ones and all the books that Deb did to the yahoogroup (the one I own not the one Gina is in charge of....mainly because she has abandoned it, and any one not already part of it can't join, cause she no longer approves new members, so any one not already on it is left out, my group, I have not abandoned and am still approving new members!).

A few weeks ago there was a post in Gina's group though, but I was the only one to reply....

Any way if you have Mastercook, help us out! lol And go ahead and download what I posted up in the files, cause it really will help search Jo's recipes easier.

It's raining, it's pouring,
the old man is snoring,
he went to bed,
and bumped his head,
and couldn't get up in the morning.

Remember this one?
