We are only getting Murder She Wrote for one hour about 4 weekdays on TVLand. I just checked our Hallmark lineup and it isn't on ours (it's Mary Tyler Moore today).

Ann, I never liked filling the sink with bleach water either. I resubscribed to Flylady awhile back and was relieved to read that you only do the fill the sink with bleach water the first time and then you just keep up by cleaning it. It always seemed excessive to me, too. Also I have a double sink - one side has a plug but the garbage disposal side doesn't.

Louise, That would be no fun having to weigh in with sandals. I hope your foot is on the mend.

We went to two cemeteries today. One was dear family friends who were my grandmothers age. It was a family plot of sorts - Aunt Violet, her brother and his first wife, and her parents. The only one I knew was Aunt Violet. Her brother died in his early 50s. His first wife died in childbirth. Violet's sister and her husband are buried at another cemetery - I think mainly because there was only one plot left- which is unused. Aunt Hattie's very premature baby was buried with her mother but there's no marker. The parents tombstones are round marble cylinders and the father's stone was loose like someone had knocked it off it's foundation. Our son moved it back into place. I think we'll go back and see what can be done to repair it. The couple who oversee that cemetery are very knowlegable and helpful.

For dinner tonight we had the Kirkland Smoked Pulled Pork on buns. It is so good! I understand what we are used to here in the Pacific NW is not what Southerners like (pork with lost of barbecue sauce). A portion is 2 oz. and when it was measured out it was a nice, filling sandwich.

Judy, That must be some garage sale! We've had lots of tourists in the area this weekend and with gas at something like $4.27/gal. you wonder how people can do it - especially with campers. I do like garage sales and one I enjoy is an annual one on Puget Island sometime in the summer. There are about 40 or so houses participating and it's always fun to see the island. There's also a great farmers market. I hear on the news they don't know why Washington and Oregon gas prices are above the national average. I agree with you about the waning of patriotism. There is going to be a program at one of our cemeteries on Monday- dropping of the wreaths into the lake and usually someone singing patriotic songs.

For some reason with our cable TV channel set up we don't get the Hallmark Channel. If and when we set up the Dirctv we do get it. Right now since we're not traveling we have the Directv on hold. We use it mostly in the motor home.

We had a nice lunch even thought I got lemon chicken instead of Malibu chicken. I wish the cashiers that take your order understood English better. I said Malibu Chicken at least twice. I really have no idea what country this fellow was from. At least I don't have to cook supper.

Louise, good you went to WW as that will get you back on track for the coming week. I have my ticker so messed and try as I have I can not fix it.

Good Afternoon Everyone! Well I managed to go to the Weight Watchers meeting with my right foot bandaged up and having sandals on. DH drove. I did gain a little over 3 lbs. but I am sure that is because I could not exercise this week and also the bandage and the sandals did not help. I usually weigh in in stocking feet. I have not changed my weight on the scale at the botton of my posts yet. I am really praying that I will have a nice weight loss next week.
Well, grocery shopping in a little while. Not much more than that. I think I will watch some of the Murder She Wrote Marathron on the Hallmark Channel--I think it is one of the Hallmark Movie Channel or Hallmark 2 not sure what it is called. They are having Murder She Wrote all day today and tomorrow. I have not watched any yet. I probably have seen all of them but I loved that TV series so I really don't mind watching them again. Well, everyone, please have a Great Saturday!

GOD BLESS!
Louise

Good afternoon everyone,

It is raining fairly heavily up here today. Still the traffic past our house is steady. I can't figure out why people are willing to use the gas to drive up here to walk around a "garage sale" in the rain.
The cost of the gas negates the savings they might make. Remember that from my house to the nearest supermarket is 48 miles and the event to which these people are driving is yet another twenty miles further out.

Ann, I agree that filling a sink with bleach water is wasteful and possibly dangerous. We are on a well and septic tank. The water we have isn't good to drink, but for all other uses it is just fine. There is a lot of iron in our water so it leaves rust stains any time it is allowed to drip. Those stains can be removed by spritzing them with a bit of bleach in water. Cleaning with a spritz instead of a deluge makes sense. Septic systems leach into the ground. Putting bleach into the septic system poisons the system and the ground into which the liquid drains.

I am sure that the public systems also suffer from the use of powerful cleaning agents. I have recently read articles on the death of the Pacific Ocean and Puget Sound. I know that the San Francisco Bay, Lake Michigan and Lake Erie, and the Ohio River have been polluted to the point of dying in the past. I think it is time we all took a good look at our penchant for super clean houses and weed free lawns, to evaluate what damage we are causing.

Okay, I'll get off my soap box for a while.

I am wishing for the times when we celebrated Memorial Day with parades and ceremonies paying respect to those who've sacrificed on behalf of our nation and its principles. What ever happened to teaching our children by example, that our country is great because of those who have given their lives in dedication to their nation. There was honor among our servicemen and women. Where is the honor among those of us who benefit from their sacrifice?

Love, Judy emoticon

The sun came out this morning but there are still lots of clouds out there. I haven't even gotten dressed yet. We are having lunch today with the last Sat. of the month bunch. It will be a quiet week end here with the kids gone to the baseball tournament. We will stay off the roads and relax at home. I plan to start another book.

Patty, the one item I remember from Fly Lady I still do to this day. When I leave the bathroom first thing in the morning I take the waste basket with me and dump it. She had a bit too many cleaning jobs that I don't get around to. I also didn't like her filling the sink with water with added bleach. A waste of water to me. Easier to just spray the sink with a mixture of water with bleach. Our water bills are out of sight and they just raised them another 10% The city has to buy water from other areas and states.

Good morning,

It looks pretty cloudy out there this morning. All the "white things" are blooming - snowball, neighbors cherry trees still haven't shed all their blossoms, white rhododendron and the red rhodies are starting to bloom. There are some great purple irises blooming which my former neighbor gave me. I remember her when they bloom.

Our youngest son got here last night and brought a funny movie for us to watch.

Yesterday:

I drank my water

Took a walk in the neighborhood

Ate according to my plan and got all the nutrients in.

Good morning team,

How are you today?
It is supposed to rain today. I hope so, it is so dry here, just terribly dry, no rain, no snow...I think 40% chance of rain. The sky is gray and it is heavy weather, so hopefully...

Almost done with the sweater. The body is done. Just need to do the 6 border rounds, sew the shoulder seam, and sew on the button. This one will have only 1 button.

I just yesterday, picked out buttons for 4 more of these sweaters...They will be cute, that is for sure. At least I think so.

Hubby went yard saleing again. I opted to stay home. I don't do well when I need to leave the house early in the morning.

Started a murder mystery yesterday...really good book.

Now down to business.

How was your yesterday?

Did you move?
stacked wood for 15 minutes

Did you drink your water?
yes

Did you stick to your diet?
yes, and I am feeling so much better on this Atkins...I can't begin to tell you how much better I feel
have a blessed day.
Patty
