We are only getting Murder She Wrote for one hour about 4 weekdays on TVLand. I just checked our Hallmark lineup and it isn't on ours (it's Mary Tyler Moore today).
Ann, I never liked filling the sink with bleach water either. I resubscribed to Flylady awhile back and was relieved to read that you only do the fill the sink with bleach water the first time and then you just keep up by cleaning it. It always seemed excessive to me, too. Also I have a double sink - one side has a plug but the garbage disposal side doesn't.
Louise, That would be no fun having to weigh in with sandals. I hope your foot is on the mend.
We went to two cemeteries today. One was dear family friends who were my grandmothers age. It was a family plot of sorts - Aunt Violet, her brother and his first wife, and her parents. The only one I knew was Aunt Violet. Her brother died in his early 50s. His first wife died in childbirth. Violet's sister and her husband are buried at another cemetery - I think mainly because there was only one plot left- which is unused. Aunt Hattie's very premature baby was buried with her mother but there's no marker. The parents tombstones are round marble cylinders and the father's stone was loose like someone had knocked it off it's foundation. Our son moved it back into place. I think we'll go back and see what can be done to repair it. The couple who oversee that cemetery are very knowlegable and helpful.
For dinner tonight we had the Kirkland Smoked Pulled Pork on buns. It is so good! I understand what we are used to here in the Pacific NW is not what Southerners like (pork with lost of barbecue sauce). A portion is 2 oz. and when it was measured out it was a nice, filling sandwich.
Judy, That must be some garage sale! We've had lots of tourists in the area this weekend and with gas at something like $4.27/gal. you wonder how people can do it - especially with campers. I do like garage sales and one I enjoy is an annual one on Puget Island sometime in the summer. There are about 40 or so houses participating and it's always fun to see the island. There's also a great farmers market. I hear on the news they don't know why Washington and Oregon gas prices are above the national average. I agree with you about the waning of patriotism. There is going to be a program at one of our cemeteries on Monday- dropping of the wreaths into the lake and usually someone singing patriotic songs.
